Acer has announced the first netbook to operate on Intel Atom's next generation Cedar Trail processor - the Aspire One D270 netbook. It is powered by the Intel Atom Dual-Core Processor N2600 and fully loaded with Windows 7 Starter. The Cedar Trail netbook provides improved performance, HD content playback as well as HDMI port.
Sporting the trademark water droplet ripple on the cover, the Acer Aspire One AOD 270 weighs 1.3 kg and is 1" thick, making it extremely portable for users. The netbook has 1 GB of RAM and a 320GB hard disk drive. It comes in 4 color schemes - Expresso black color, Aquamarine, Burgundy Red, Seashell White.
The netbook has a 10-inch built-in screen and features 2 built-in stereo speakers with High-Definition audio support. When it comes to ports, Acer has loaded three 2.0 USB ports for users to plug in their external devices. In addition to this, it also features ports for VGA and HDMI for users to hook it up to a monitor. Customers can now enjoy high definition playback with the HDMI connectivity by connecting their netbook to any LED/ LCD TV etc.
The netbook also has a variety of other features such as a built in web cam, Graphics Media Accelerator 3600, WiFi compatibility, Ethernet technology, 2 GB RAM and 320 GB hard drive. A new attraction to this mobile gadget is the addition of an HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) port that allows users to enjoy a High definition entertainment experience.
