Tech Deals of the Week: A Budget Laptop, 802.11ac Router, and More

The long Independence Day weekend sales may be over, but that doesn't stop great deals from coming your way. This week we've got a budget laptop, coupons on Samsung smartphones and tablets purchases, and more. Go ahead, make a smarter buying decision this week.

1. Recharge coupons worth up to Rs. 2,500
Amazon is giving away recharge coupons up to Rs. 2,500 with select Samsung smartphones and tablets. These coupons can be used on FreeCharge to pay for postpaid or prepaid mobiles, or even DTH connections. Samsung devices available under this offer include Samsung Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S4, Galaxy Grand 2, Galaxy Tab3 Neo, Galaxy Core 2, and Galaxy Star Advance. If you're in the market for a Samsung smartphone or a tablet, this is a pretty decent offer.

You need to buy from a specific seller titled 'Silcare' to make sure you get the free recharge coupons. The promotion is valid till 25 August, and as expected, Amazon will limit purchases to one unit per customer under this offer.

2. Lenovo G50-70-(59-417086) 15.6-inch laptop
Amazon has cut the price tag on the Lenovo G50-70 15.6-inch laptop by another Rs. 4,000 this week. Flipkart is selling the same laptop at around Rs. 29,000. Lenovo's entry level laptop is powered by an Intel Core i3 processor clocked at 1.7GHz, supported by 2GB of DDR3 RAM that can be upgraded up to 16GB. The display is a 15.6-inch HD LED display, and there's a 500GB hard drive to store all your data.

The laptop comes with FreeDos installed so you're pretty much open to install any operating system of your choice. The laptop also comes with a free laptop bag. It's one of the best budget laptops out there. The price is expected to fluctuate a bit in the next few days, if you're in the market for an affordable laptop with a 15.6-inch display, this is one of your best options.

3. Cashback for HDFC debit and MasterCard credit card users
Most Indian e-commerce sites run discount and cashback promotions on specific credit and debit cards. Sometimes these are really useful if you're making a big purchase. SnapDeal is currently running a 5% cashback offer for HDFC Bank debit card users. The offer is valid only on purchases above Rs. 4,000 when paid using an HDFC Bank debit card. A maximum cashback of Rs. 500 is applicable on one card per month. This offer is not valid on JetPrivilege Debit Card.

Similarly, Croma is offering a cashback of Rs. 2,500 when customers makes a transaction of Rs. 30,000 or above and convert them into 12-month EMIs. The offer is valid for MasterCard credit card users in India. In a way they'll be paying for the interest charged to you for converting a transaction into EMIs. You'll only get a cashback if you convert your purchase transaction into a 12-month EMI. The cashback will be credited within 90 days from a transaction.

Both these offers are great if you're planning to buy a smartphone, tablet, laptop, or any electronics device.

4. D-Link AC750 Dual Band Wireless Router
Flipkart is selling the D-Link AC750 dual-band wireless router at a discount of around 40% off the marked price. The dual band wireless router supports the IEEE 802.11ac standard, making it one of the most affordable routers in the market with support for faster Wi-Fi. The D-Link AC750 makes a great wireless access point, and even a good repeater if you're extending your wireless network. The router comes with the standard 3-year warranty from D-Link India.

5. Panasonic RP-HC31E-K noise canceling earphones
Flipkart is selling the Panasonic RP-HC31E-K noise-canceling headphones at a flat discount of 60%. The headphones are a steal at this price.

Panasonic claims that the noise canceling unit helps reduce outside noise by almost 83%. The earphones include a standard neodymium, known to be much stronger than the ones found on cheaper headsets. The noise canceling unit is powered by a AAA battery that lasts for 40 hours. These earphones are perfect for listening to music while traveling on public transport, or other areas where outside noise gets in the way.

6. Up to 50% Off On CaseMate Mobile Cases
You can grab new CaseMate cases for your smartphone at a discount of up to 50% on Amazon. The offer is valid on CaseMate's popular Barely There series as well, which are very lightweight and look better than most of the other cases available in the market.

The sale includes cases for iPhone 5s, iPhone 4S, Samsung Galaxy S5, Samsung Galaxy S4, and other smartphones. If you're assembling a personal computer, and like a little discount on travel tickets, head to Flipkart. Flipkart now houses almost all computer components you might need to assemble a personal computer. This week the company is giving away two travel vouchers worth Rs. 1,500 in total if you buy PC components for Rs. 10,000 or more. Flipkart's list of computer components includes graphic cards, processors, cooling units, motherboards, and more. A number of components are available at a decent discount of up to 40% off the marked price.
