"On 3G plans with rental of Rs. 650, Rs. 750 and Rs. 850, get Rs. 100 bill discount every month for 12 months," the company said in a statement released on Monday. The company also introduced an 'advance rental offer', where customers can pay rental for six months, and get next two months rental free, translating to eight months of usage. This offer is valid on the same three postpaid plans highlighted above.
Vivek Mathur, Chief Commercial Officer, Vodafone India, added in the statement: "With the growing penetration of data, there is a constant demand for high-speed connectivity. The launch of Vodafone K4201 3G dongle, with consistent connectivity and up to 21.1 Mbps superfast data transfer caters to this demand for high speed mobile data services."
The Vodafone K4201 3G dongle comes with support for major operating systems like Windows 8, Mac, Linux, Fedora and Ubuntu. The Vodafone K4201 3G dongle also comes with microSD card slot (with support up to 32GB), which means it can act like a pen-drive if a microSD card is inserted.
Vodafone says the K4201 3G features a new dialler (that can be auto-updated) with enhanced user support functionality, such as web chat, help line number on dash board, online banner for Vodafone offer updates, and troubleshooting guidance for common error codes. According to the company, K4201 3G dongle users can also set data usage limit alerts, and monitor usage. Enterprise specific functionality includes the ability to disable microSD card functionality, locking of SIM to a specific dongle.
