Twitter has made it easier for its users to search for tweet, with new date-based search options. The feature will come as a relief to anyone that has tried searching for a specific tweet posted in the not so recent past.
The feature is now accessible via Twitter's 'Advanced Search' option. Utilising Advanced Search, Twitter users can now enter a date range, apart from the previously present filters for people and places.
This new feature would eliminate the option of using arcane coding (for instance since:2014-02-03 until:2014-04-01) in the search box. TechCrunch mentions the feature of searching Twitter posts based on dates was present before also but was a cumbersome process and was not known by majority of the users.
Recent reports indicate Twitter will release a mobile-advertising product in the next few weeks that will allow app-makers to encourage downloads of their software. The firm is said to expect app-install advertisements to attract advertisers in the e-commerce and gaming industries.
Twitter last week was said to have been gearing up to roll out the new profile redesign to its iOS app. Reports suggested that Twitter updated its iOS app for some users, and added some new features to these users' profiles, such as a 'Me' tab at the bottom of the profile page; the profile image of the user has been shifted to the left side, instead of centre, and the new profile page with two new timeline options (titled images and favourites).
However, the new profile redesign for Twitter's iOS app is yet to be rolled out to all users, and is likely being tested on limited users.
