Mobile is one of the key growth drivers of e-commerce in the country. It has been a key focus area for Snapdeal as well.
The company in a statement said that with the acquisition of Freecharge in April, it has become the "largest m-commerce company in the country." It added that the the recent acquisition of Martmobi was also a step towards further strengthening its mobile platform.
"Mobile is one of our key focus areas and in a span of just 2 years, the medium has proved to be one of the biggest growth drivers for the company. Delivering a great user experience across varying data connections and numerous handsets being used in the country is the guiding principle for our mobile initiatives. Over 75 percent of our sales now come through mobile platforms and Letsgomo team becoming a part of our family will further propel our efforts in this direction," Rohit Bansal, co-founder, Snapdeal, said in a statement.
