Sharing site Pinterest will now allow you to shop from various websites and checkout with a single transaction through its new feature called 'shopping bag'. The feature is meant to save users the trouble of checking out items from several websites. The company is also rolling out a new curated 'Pinterest Shop' experience.

Pinterest will allow you to pin items away for purchase later on with a single transaction, as long as the retailer has made its products available on Pinterest via the 'buy' pins, which are also rolling out.

Pinterest has said that it has partnered with around 20,000 merchants, both big and small, to bring 10 million unique products to Pinterest. Its curated 'Pinterest Shop' further helps the users to find options for purchase by finding out more details with a single tap.

The curation is done by Pinterest's in-house editors as well as guests.

"If you're looking for something from a brand you love, head over to their profile and tap the new filtering options to find popular products, sale items and shipping deals," Pinterest said in its blog.

Pinterest has also introduced visual search within pins, so that users can browse related pins seen in an image. Users can now also filter popular products, deals, and sale items within a particular brand.

The company has shown a strong push towards 'shopping' and seems to be one of its key drivers. These new features will roll out to Android and Web in the coming weeks, and the iOS rollout has been scheduled to follow soon after.
