Apple Music's Beats 1 Radio has hit the "airwaves" on the Internet, and if you're one of the many people tuned in to Apple's curated music station, then you are probably wondering how you can request Apple's DJs to play your favourite song.
The way to do it is simple - you just need to call up Apple and ask. Rather than using a tech-solution such as allowing you to mail or tweet your requests, or having a request option in the Music app, Apple has instead decided to go with the voice option.
Then again, given the kind of volume that Apple will probably see for requests on this service, particularly in the early days of its rollout, it's not surprising that it might prefer this option, to cut down on the number of requests.
If you're calling from the US, call +1 (877) 720 6293 toll free to place a request. From Canada, you can call +1 855 648 0703 toll free to request a song. UK listeners can call toll free on +44 800 802 1238. And if you're calling from anywhere else in the world, then you can call +1 310 299 8756. You can see the full list on the requests page on the Tumblr, though Indian users will be disappointed to see that there's no number for the country, though of course, the "World" number is an option.
You can also check out the new Apple Music Tumblr, where the Beats 1 schedule is listed, so you can see when your favourite anchor will be on, and see upcoming shows with the likes of Dr Dre, Pharrell Williams, and Jaden Smith.
You can see the entire July lineup for the next few days already on the site, with more information listed as coming soon.
