"Google is ready to facilitate online marketing of products manufactured by as many as 7 lakh Development of Women and Children in Rural Areas (DWCRA) groups. Google has said that it will provide facilities for enabling online marketing of products of DWCRA groups," Naidu said, addressing a gathering at Angara village in East Godavari district.
DWCRA programme was launched by the Centre in the early 1980s under the Integrated Rural Development Programme, which became successful in Andhra Pradesh.
Naidu also referred to the "loot" of sand in East Godavari and West Godavari districts by mafias over the last decade and said severe action will be taken now against the offenders.
"Sand mining activities will be handed over to DWCRA groups within two days in the state to overcome sand shortage.
Income derived from sand will be utilised for the welfare of farmers and DWCRA groups," the Chief Minister said.
He also directed officials to develop tourism circuits in the district.
