"From today, when people search for a nearby restaurant on their phone, they'll see an option to 'Place an order' in the search results," Google India said in its blog. As of now the search engine has only tied up with food services Swiggy and Zomato but says that it plans to add more partners to the list very soon.
In case you prefer to dine out, Google search has got you covered too. With its update, Google Search will provide you with an option to make table reservations so that you don't end up waiting in line at your favourite restaurant. Even in this case, you will be only able to make your restaurant reservations with company's partners Dineout and Bytplus as of now.
These features are making their way to Web results as well as mobile platforms Android and iOS.
Recently, the search giant expanded its support for Accelerated Mobile Pages to all of its search results instead of being limited to just the Top Stories carousel.
