Google has been introducing a lot of new changes to its search off late. This time round, Google has once again redesigned its search for mobile and tablet devices bringing visual improvements for searches. The new look is similar to the cards feature of Google Now. The main idea is to simplify user experience with searches and provide more accurate information.

The searches will be applicable to a variety of searches covering finance, currency conversion, unit conversion, holiday, local time, sunrise times and even dictionary definitions.

For flight status answers, Google has now included a flight progress indicator and increased the size of arrival and departure times. In case of other searches, for instance, now if a user looks for "when is independence day" or "sunrise in new delhi", the information is displayed immediately in a neat card format. Regarding unit conversions the answer is displayed prominently for a question like "how many yards is one mile". The card also lists a built-in converter to allow conversions of all possible measures.

This is not the first time Google has made improvements to its search. just recently, it introduced a new weather widget that shows a 10-hourly interactive weather forecast when you search for weather . It also redesigned its calculator feature that now throws up a scientific calculator when you search for any mathematical calculation on Google. Not just that, the search giant also released a major update to its search app for Android and the iPhone.

Currently Google is rolling out the update for English users on mobiles and tablets. But it has promised the update will be soon extended to desktop and international users as well.
