HTC One is HTC's premium flagship for 2013. From the time the phone was launched internationally, we've been enamoured by its design. It is a make or break device for HTC, which has not been doing well financially, as the Android smartphone world is dominated by Samsung. On paper, the HTC One seems to be the best in terms of hardware specifications and materials used in its construction. Do these translate in to making the phone the best performer in practical use? We try to find out.

HTC One Summary

HTC One mobile was launched in April 2013. The phone comes with a 4.70-inch touchscreen display offering a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels at a pixel density of 468 pixels per inch (ppi). HTC One is powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor. It comes with 2GB of RAM. The HTC One runs Android 4.1 and is powered by a 2300mAh non-removable battery.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the HTC One on the rear packs 4-Ultrapixel camera. It sports a 2.1-megapixel camera on the front for selfies.

HTC One is based on Android 4.1 and packs 32GB of inbuilt storage. The HTC One is a single SIM (GSM) mobile that accepts a Micro-SIM card. The HTC One measures 137.40 x 68.20 x 9.30mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 143.00 grams. It was launched in Black, Silver, and Red colours.

Connectivity options on the HTC One include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth v4.00, NFC, Infrared, FM radioWi-Fi Direct, Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL), 3G, and 4G. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and compass/ magnetometer.
