Hi Guys, let's start from the beginning. I have ordered this laptop for 83k (including Exchange and No cost EMI offers) during Prime day sale. I was expected to get the delivery by Aug 20 which was the release date. But by surprise I got this beast very earlier on August 8th. Let's start the review from here.Pros:Build Quality: 8/10Build quality is not bad and not very good. Actually HP did all tricks here to reduce the overall cost. Really you won't be disappointed. Regarding screen wobble issue, it's all over hyped and don't worry about it and it's normal when the build quality is compromised. You will not even notice it when you start gaming 😊Display: 9/10No complaints about screen quality. It's quite bright and very good for gaming and movies. It is showing HDR support for streaming. I will test it out and update it here.Keyboard and TouchPad: 8/10No RGB backlit. But as a budget friendly laptop you can't expect RGB at this price. White backlit is really cool and keyboard is very smooth and does the work. TouchPad is really big and works well.Performance: 10/10Here is the real beast coming. I have tested Assain Creed Valhalla and FIFA 21. Gameplay was so smooth and graphics are mind blowing 😍 HP worked really hard for thermal and cooling mechanism.Battery: 8/10While playing in battery mode you will not get more than 25 FPS in any game. It is recommended to connect the charger whenever you playing and work on the battery when you are doing casual works or watching movie. I got 2.5 hrs while playing games on battery and got 6 to 7 hours for normal tasks.Audio: 9/10I really surprised by the audio quality of this laptop. I would say HP did a very good job in Audio segment.Additional Features:1. Build in Alexa and works well2. Free upgrade to windows 11. I already upgraded to preview version3. Fast charging is really goodCons:1. Fan makes more noise when playing very graphics intensive gaming. But can be controllable from Omen gaming hub.2. Extended warranty is pricy when compared with other brands3. No support for Dolby Vision, Mux switch andThunderboltOverall Rating 9/10I wouldn't say it is perfect beast. But for this price it is really a VFM product. If you have budget more than 140k, then go for Lenovo Legion pro. Otherwise this is the perfect gaming lappy for everyone. I will suggest to buy a Xbox Game Pass at 50rs and you are all set to go👍😊 Enjoy Gaming.

Beast with a catch in build quality.
Vignesh (Aug 19, 2021)

Extreme gaming performance.Excellent thermals.Don't get decieved by the numbers on cpu temperatures hitting 95 100. It is normal and common in the new 5000 series AMD chipsets and not an issue for throttling (Confirmed by AMD).But build quality not upto the mark considering the 1 lakh price point. But it gets diminished in front of the performance offered by this machine.Point to note- Battery life is extraordinary. Got 6+ hours for normal usage on an RTX 3060 Budget Gaming laptop. IMAGINE THAT!Would highly recommend if you use the product with care.Screen wobble? - Yes definitely but not an issue if you are willing to sacrifice some part of it for performance.Would suggest having a water bottle behind the screen for support and you are good to go.

It's a budget gaming lap. So don't expect much. Quality is good except for wobbling. Using with external keyboard and mouse. Not for rough use people. Gaming is pretty good in it. Value for money. If u looking for Bette quality go for omen series. And try to buy extended warrenty as well.

Let's talk about Gaming Benchmarks
Lakshay (Aug 13, 2021)
on Amazon
These Benchmarks are done when Plugged In, Performance Mode, Max Fan speed.... also it depends on the region you live based on the weather. I live in Haryana so had to turn on AC. Big ups for people living in northern regions.VALORANT: Highest Settings gives 160-180fps (CPU TEMP - 80-87C increases after a long usage)Lowest Settings gives 190-240fps (CPU TEMP - 75-83C )But, I preferred locking the fps to 150 because screen is 144Hz. Got easy 70-80C CPU Temp.BATTLEFIELD 5: Ultra Preset DX12,DXR,DLSS - On gives 90fps avg (CPU TEMP- 83-92C)Default Preset (Medium) DXR,DLSS,DX12 - Off gives 140fps avg. Trust me the graphics were so goooooood. I'll suggest not changing the graphics settings. (CPU TEMP - 80-88C)Will update with more games.

The best config you can get at this price point, better thermals than the TUFs and Nitros.Above average display , good build quality (screen wobble not a concern, works perfectly fine even while aggressive typing ).Excellent performance , does not heat up too much. Tested CSGO at high settings GPU temp won't go above 70C and CPU temps hover around 70-80C. Gives constant 300+ FPS. Battery life is good and much better than other laptops in this price segment.WiFi card is average but you can always use Ethernet.Boots up in about 6-7s which is GREAT.They could have provided a 1TB option but you can upgrade it so no worries.Just go for it !!

This is an amazing laptop. The gaming experience, the display , battery life everything is perfect. Ryzen 7 is a beast . Getting more than 12000 points on r23 multiscore and 1400+ on single core which is more than legion 5 pro's.Also I appreciate the simple and sophisticated looks. Dont believe the build quality issue haters are spreading everywhere . Also the ram is fast 1rx8 type dual channel. Kudos to hp.Only thing I wish it could get was an rgb keyboard. Just go for it. The performance of amd and rtx along with longevity and service quality of HP seals the deal. Now we dont need chinese brands to get great specs at competitive price. Thanks hp and amazon

This laptop has been an excellent buyThe display is great and as for the flex don't even worry about it, it's not zero but you will have 0 problems with however I found the flex of the lid and keyboard to be almost negligibleThe Ryzen 7+RTX 3060+16 gb 3200MHz Ram+144Hz FHD screen is everything you ever need. The SSD is of course great too and allows very fast installation and file reading. The screenbleed is also very little and the colour accuracy is also good enough...its 100% srgb too. The built quality is great no need to worry about that its pretty durable and sturdy its a bit heavy but why should a powerful laptop be light anyways! The thermals are exceptionally good like for eg RDR2 gave almost 50 fps at everything maxed out and dlss of with temp rising to about 75+ for GPU and around 65+ for CPU thats really good The sound is also very good and you don't need more from a laptop (maybe a bit louder would have been better but it doesn't matter) the ports are great and will do the job... the I haven't tested the battery yet but I believe it will be a good one...I will update as time proceeds

The best laptop available for gaming right now. The brightness is adequate with sufficient battery life as well. Build quality is on par. The screen wobble is not too much as was being described in other reviews. You can go for this easily instead of the lenovo legion 5 pro. Just upgrade with another m.2 nvme for more space. Upgradation is easy and can be done at home following the manuals. Great buy.

Pre ordered this bargain just by looking at the specs. Impressed by the initial performance.Very promising Geekbench scores along with Great RTX gaming performance makes it a no brainier for anyone with budget constraints but wants a taste of high end gaming.Temperatures remain below 90C during heavy gaming although you can feel the keyboard get noticeably warm in performance mode (thanks to the upper grill vents not being fully open). The screen quality is impressive and the hinge wobble is barely noticeable when under use.The keyboard feels awesome to type with and the trackpad is a blessing (still getting used to the size of it).Yet to test out the I/O, will update the review once I do.Thanks to @gamingsetupdeals on telegram for timely updates on this laptop for best prices and availability.

An absolute beast !! You cant ask for better specs at this price point !
Lokesh Chandna (Aug 8, 2021)
on Amazon
HP has nailed this segment with this laptop. The specs they are offering at this price point (especially with RTX 3060 graphic card) beats the likes of Dells and Asus by almost 30-40k which is a huge amount. A Dell with same specs (ALIENWARE M15 RYZEN EDITION R5 GAMING LAPTOP) costs about Rs 1.5 Lacs and Asus with same specs costs north of 1.25 Lacs so you cannot ask for a better price for these specs. Period. Now coming to the details :1. Display : 6/10 : This is probably the only sore point of this laptop. An average display with a certain yellowish tinch. I tried my best to calibrate the colors but still somewhat yellowish. Refresh rate is as stated i.e. 144hz but still not at all impressed with the display. Windows 10 did have some yellow screen issues but that is not the issue here. Atleast not with the piece I received.2. RAM : 8/10 : It uses 8gb ram in two slots so a total of 16gb (2x8gb). So, in case if you want to upgrade it to 32 gb, you will need to purchase 2 new Ram sticks and would need to sacrifice the current 8gb ones. A thumbs down here. Would have been much better if it was 16gb in one slot that ways we could have purchased an additional 16gb same spec Ram. But that is not the case here. So again a little disappointed.3. Graphics Card : 10/10 : Now this is the only thing I bought this PC for - Rtx 3060 graphic card and probably the highlight of this laptop. There is a cheaper version available with RTX 3050Ti graphic card as well with a price difference of almost 15k but considering you would be keeping this laptop for atleast 3-5 years, I found it worth spending extra amount for this graphic card which is almost 50% extra in performance as well as Vram (6gb) as compared to the 4gb one. To start with, installed Witcher 3 and tried playing it. The performance was ultra smooth even on high settings so full marks on the graphic card.4. Processor and OS : 10/10 : Ryzen 7 5800H is probably the best you can get and it certainly is. Booting along with all software launches are super quick so no complaints here. Windows 10 comes preloaded and MS office is provided with lifetime access. You need to register for it.5. Memory : 8/10 : It states 512 gb but the pc shows only 476gb out of which only 428 gb is available for use. Though it has an additional slot for memory expansion, still considering a laptop for 1L, the memory should have been 1GB to say the least. Being SSD is advantageous as it takes only a few seconds to boot up (10-12 to be precise). Fast bootup is another point i superliked.6. Keyboard : 8/10 : Quite good. But PgUp and PgDown keys are missing which is why deducted 2 marks for it. (Since I use excel heavily and these 2 keys are needed along with arrows keys). Also, it is not tiresome to use unlike some of the past HP keyboards. I have been using Dell i7 for the last 4 years and i thought the Dell keyboard was the one to beat but HP has done a very nice job here and keys are certainly placed right to give you a smooth experience.7. Touchpad : 9/10 : Again one of the smoothest touch pad i have seen in recent laptops. Clicks are smooth. Size is quite big. Anyways I would be using a gaming mouse so not much to comment here.8. Body : 7/10 : This is where they have done an average job. Pretty average plastic body. They could have improved here. And yes - "There is NO screen wobbling issue. It wobbles very slightly considering it is very big in size but that is pretty much ok and it is not to the extent as mentioned in some of the other reviews on net. Actual wobbling is when the screen is loose on the hinges. But this one is definitely not. So you can relax on that part. Also, Considering you would not be dancing around with the laptop, so this should be ok. Rest of the body feels a little weak/thin given it is all plastic. Also, they mentioned the Color would be Mica Silver (silver definitely looks premium as compared to boring black/grey laptops) but I was somewhat disappointed to see Blackish Grey colored laptop. Anyways, it is what they are using for Ryzen Series in India so be it.9. Battery : 4/10 : Again a very sore point. On paper it looks awesome but in practicality it is quite poor. Good thing I liked - While most laptops have a battery low indicator, they miss out on battery full indicator. This is where I liked what HP has provided - A battery full indicator (which turns to white when fully charged). But the battery backup itself is pretty poor. It takes full 2 hrs to fully charge it from 8% to 100% and then Battery lasts only 2.5 hrs in 100% performance mode with brightest display and graphic card working. So a big thumbs down here. They have provided a 200w adapter with this.Overall, if you look at the specs, you cannot get anything better than this at this price point atleast. But considering there are a few more laptops in the Victus series which they have placed starting at 50K; that might be the reason I feel HP compromised with Body and Battery. If you are looking at this for moderate (or even a little heavy for that purpose) gaming along with regular Office work, it actually might be a very good choice.Final Disclaimer : Amazon delivery person had opened the outer packing Amazon box and the laptop was delivered in the HP box. Though the HP box was sealed and that was the reason I accepted the package but removing the outer box is completely unacceptable. I notified Amazon about this to which they said that I should not have accepted the delivery. Anyways would request Amazon to definitely take a note of it and improve their delivery services.

False Information Given By HP Team on Amazon
Vash (Aug 20, 2021)
on Amazon
Before buying this product HP Social Team on Amazon gave wrong answers for the product. You can check their answers in question sections.CONS:SSD: I was told product has 2 SSD slots, but this model has only single SSD slot which is upgradable to 1TB Max. There is no second slot in this, only Intel series will have 2 slots (this I have confirmed from HP Support)RAM: It has 8GB+8GB combination. I was told single slot has 16 GB.sRGB Range: Again they have mentioned 45% to 72% to 100%. I am not sure which one I have really got.Keyboard: It is not a full-keyboard as mentioned in the pictures. There is no "home/end/pg up/ pg dn/ keys". They have been replaced with omen key and calculator key.Quality: You can check (photo attached) for hands prints on touchpad which is not easy to remove. And this is just after 10 days use. I think over time this may fade away.PROS:Screen Size: 16.1 screen size is splendid if you compare it to 15.6 inches. That little difference gives a lot of space during work with softwares. Also it fits in 15 inch bags.Ryzen: Processor is great to use for high end softwares.I do not understand how can HP people answer for Intel models when I am asking for Ryzen models !

Graphic Card Missing!!! - Beware Guys..

update : After a reset I found the graphic card specs.I Have purchased an RTX 3060 config. victus . With lots of hopes and I was shocked that the graphic card is not visible in any test I have done and also I have included the screen shots.Build:Also the Build Quality is quite average for the price we pay, the hinge in particular is worst.Battery:It is also quite average but fine for gaming laptop standards. 3-4 hrs. Also no RGB.The Delivery person opened the outer box himself without any consent , I don't know how such behaviour could be accepted. So, keep your expectation low and look out for graphic card....shame on HP..

Super poor laptop released just 2 weeks ago stopped working, poor customer service. DONT GO FOR IT.
Anagh Soman (Aug 26, 2021)
on Amazon
So i ordered an HP Victus 16.1 inch RTX 3060, Ryzen 7 5800H gaming laptop for 1.04 lakh INR 2 weeks ago. I received the laptop and was really excited to try this supposedly top of the line model unreviewed on reddit and the internet until then. It was released 2 weeks ago and i got mine in the mail. Around 4 days ago, it suddenly stopped powering up. There was no response whatsoever, and i tried everything. There was no liquid damage, no incidents or anything. It powered on the night before and then the next day, it was just dead.Note that this is a top of the line, extremely new budget gaming laptop being compared to the likes of ASUS TUF series which i almost bought and really regret not buying now. I called the HP service center in Chennai and they plainly told that they can't help and asked me to call the toll free number. This laptop is obviously in warranty, its just 2 weeks from the release date in India infact!.Anyway, i called the HP toll free number, was connected to a service agent who guided me and asked me to do some troubleshooting over call. It was futile. She told me that a service agent will call me and reach by 11am the next day (monday 23rd aug). I study in IIT Madras, it is a premium institure in our country and im a final year student. I had an exam on the same day which i rescheduled for Wednesday because of the agents promise. She created a case ID : 5071152229 and said that the chennai service center was contacted. The technician never called let alone came. I tried calling again the next day and politely told about what happened. This time they promised they would come by Wednesday. I told them that i need it urgently before wednesday itself and they promosed the same and infact, sent me an email with the same information too. I waited tuesday and Wednesday, i again asked to reschedule my examination and ended up having a conversation with the professor on how messed up HPs service is. We have a HP service center inside our institute and i received word that their service tender is being terminated permanently within campus due to their poor service. I however couldnt get my examination rescheduled and since the data i required to revise was on the laptop, it messed up my exam too. The technician didnt come or call on tuesday and Wednesday. Today i called the toll free number again and a female agent told me that she can't promise that a service technician will come even. She said she'll email them today and they will definitely get in touch with me by tomorrow. Which is going to definitely be another bogus claim. For all people in India planning on buying the victus laptop or any other HP laptop. Do not do it. Worst decision i made, furthermore since i diluted my crypto investments to buy this and crypto happened to be in a bull market now.HP, ethically have to compensate me for the false promises, time they took away, the marks i lost and the money i put especially on a top of the line model released just 2 weeks ago. All i want though is to get this fixed as soon as possible because my work is piling up and the pandemic isnt really being helpful for it either.I previously had an MSI PE606QE laptop, an asus desktop, hp and dell. And i have never faced more terrible service. I think they are just trying to extort money and not giving two hoots about their customer. I am very actively going to make sure the word of this victus lineup and HPs terrible support goes out. This is completely unethical and a terrible way to treat your customers. Either be honest atleast. And if you're going to release a top of the line model which would fail 2 weeks after, kindly stop. Because you're customers are using their hard earned money and really don't have a problem buying from your competitors who provide what they promise. From a very frusturated customer who faced and is still facing pathetic service from HP. They still haven't come or called and it looks like they have no intention of doing the same. The city I am in, chennai, is a very core city in India too. Its not like HP has shortage of resources at all.If i have the money to put in to buy a 1.04 lakh INR laptop, i obviously have 5k more to go buy a different one from a different brand. I regret not buying asus tuf series.HP was preferred because of the brand name. And you're doing a great job soiling it. If you really think new lineups will catch hold on in India when they are of such low quality and when u provide such terrible customer support, you guys are kidding yourself.
