I bought this to be my main laptop. i play a few steam games, watch some streaming media, shop, download music, and do a few other basic things on the laptop. I play OOTP baseball, Civilization 6, Alien Resurrection, and Serious Sam BFE in linux. I was happy I can boot linux from a micro SD card reader with an SD adapter or a USB drive. That way I can use linux for everything except for my printing needs which i use with windows(and wont be online in win 10 for the malware disguised as an OS to collect data on me) . I am happy with the power and speed of the machine (it has turbo boost when needed up to 2.6 ghz), the number of USB ports(3), the size and weight of the machine, and I love the color. This also has a good HDMI port but I don't use that port. I am one who typically uses one program at a time on my laptop so this being an entry level processor is not an issue. This is definitely not a work horse laptop but anyone looking for a power machine at this price is dreaming. I was also able to install samatra pdf and palemoon web browser on my machine.There is a way to turn S mode off in the windows store. The main drawback to this machine is in win 10 upgrading can be an issue if you do not have extra storage such as a USB drive or SD/Micro SD card because of the tiny size of the hard drive. So if that is an issue with upgrading, this is not the machine for you(or any windows 10 laptop with such a small hard drive). I just wish that HP made a 13 inch model with the same specs. It is not that big a difference but I think i would pay a little extra for a 13 inch.I like the case.The color is nice and i like the texture of the laptop. I was able to put a phillies bumper sticker on the lid no problem and I plan on putting a fermi's paradox sticker on the lid as well. The case is lighter than metallic ones and unless you plan on banging your laptop around you shouldn't need a very good case on your laptop. So this is not one for people who travel often and worry about banging their laptop around.So in conclusion this is a great laptop for basic usage and for low end gaming. Just be prepared for the whole upgrade issue due to it's tiny hard drive. It is also a little harder to upgrade the hard drive and ram with the way this machine is assembled. But overall it is a great buy at this price. If anyone has any questions I will answer them as best i can. Hope this review helps.

I am in Love with this laptop!!!! it does what I need and more!! I've always spent a lot of money on expensive computers but this is my favorite of all time!! battery life is amazing!!!! I'm not a gamer.. just needed something for everyday use and this has done just that for me! I've always been the "big screen" person but it really doesn't bother me at all since the battery life is so amazing!! For the price this is absolutely amazing and handles everything I need. I highly recommend this if you don't want to spend a lot of money for a basic laptop!!

I ordered it and it came in two days; which, was really convenient. It?s a really pretty blue color and I love It! It works really well, i use It to do my homework plus watch movies and shows on Netflix and Hulu. The price is not bad for a brand new laptop. Definitely worth It.

This laptop worked perfectly and it was really really cute everything about it I loved nine months later I couldn't get it to go on I just could not get it to power on no matter what I did I read the reviews and I saw that other paper we're having problems and it would tell you step-by-step what you could try and nothing were so it's sitting there I have no laptop now and nothing I do will get it to turn on and I don't understand I just don't understand and I don't know where to go to have something done about it either but like I said it works great spray computer and all the sudden one day wouldn't power on and every single thing you said to do I tried nothing worked and I'm pretty upset about it

Came in good condition. Very beautiful, and easy to set up. My only problem was that two keys were wrongly programmed. So clicking 'p' appears as a different key and vice versa

Great computer it's been months of use and I definitely don't regret purchasing it the price is fair for the quality.

I had this laptop for a few months now. Barely use it since it will not hold a lot and uses mainly apps so I use it to type (Google Drive) and other easier related laptop things. Cheap and easy laptop for people who just wants to use it for the internet. Warning: the battery died on me within the month so I have to keep it plugged in to be able to use it. I only charged it three times, making sure not to over-charge it since I wanted the battery to last. Plus, when I open the laptop, it gives me a restart screen. This started happening on my 8th time of using the laptop so this is a cheaply made one. I am a bit sad that it is not the best laptop but for the price I paid, it was okay and what I should have expected.

It's a good little laptop if you just need to pay bills and maybe mess around on Facebook. I used this mostly for that and some light writing and it worked well enough. Battery is fantastic, but expected given the size and minimal power of this little thing. But don't expect it to last forever. I started having issues with updates after about 18 months and could no longer apply the Windows updates because of how little space is on the harddrive. Eventually decided it wasn't worth the hassle and upgraded to a custom desktop PC instead.

Not fast enough

Haven't had a month it was working great and now it wont turn on

I bought this for my daughter to use for school, elementary school work. It was great for 30 plus days and it died. So after a few hours of research on the internet. I found out that the 5 times blinking light on the caps lock button meant that the hard drive was dead. Well there was an issue with the hard drive thus explaining the blank screen after turning the laptop on. And since the laptop cost about $190 it's not worth buy another SSD for it. There are no screws to get to the internals. Probably clipped on and would end up damaging the plastic bottom's edge in trying to pry the bottom off. So we just returned it. It's too bad because it was perfect for my daughter's school needs. She loved the color and the design of it. But I should've know better. You get what you pay for when it comes to computers, especially laptops. During my research I found out that the hard drive (this type of ssd hard drive) dying like this and the screen staying blank is a common problem with this particular laptop.I'd pass on this laptop if you're buying it for someone to do school work, Microsoft office, anything important because it's not reliable. And if you just want something to surf the web get a tablet or just use the smartphone you already have (that's probably better spec-wise than this laptop) This was a very disappointing purchase.

No memory and to install Microsoft you have to pay $60 a year subscription that?s the only choice

I purchased this laptop for a student in Haiti. It arrived at my home in Illinois on time and then I forwarded it and the bag I had purchased to coastal Florida where Agape Flights took the package on to Les Cayes, Haiti for the young man I am supporting in his studies.He explains that there are problems with the keyboard. When he types W for example, the letter A appears.He says also that the keyboard backlight does not work.

We got this computer for our daughter last fall when her other computer crashed. She brought it home during the winter break and when she got back to school. she couldn't even get it to turn on. It only worked for 3 months!

After 5 months the unit died and would no longer turn on or charge. If I wanted the unit repaired in under 25 days I had to pay $25 for expedited service. Product still under warranty, they just lost me as a future customer.
