Best gaming laptop

It's the best

Beast

The laptop is really good. Its not too heavy and can handle the latest games at native resolution. Looks are very understated which is the way I like it. Cons: 1. No Optical drive. USB optical drive should have been provided at this price point. 2. Battery life very very short. 3. Only 3 usb drives. 4. Its very difficult to open the base to get to the HDD. Only RAM easily accessible. 5. Huge power adapter with jack on right side of laptop. May restrict mouse movement. 6. Speakers are a weak point for this laptop. No bass to speak of. Pros: 1. GTX 1070 2. Good screen. Very vivid and bright. 3. Boots to login screen in five seconds. 4. Cooling fans handle temperatures very well. I have installed a Samsung SSD instead of the HDD and now games load really fast. Very happy with the laptop and the SSD. Would recommend it if budget allows.

Best product ever in gaming and performing laptops

I bought this laptop when it was on offer for 1.3 Lakhs on Flipkart. Conclusion is that its an absolute treat!! I did a lot of research on Gaming Laptop. I even wanted to buy one from USA. However there were issues with Global Warranty on Laptops that are not Sold in India and due to Black Friday and Cyber Monday and New Year, all were sold out when I was there. I should have ordered one before leaving, However its my fault. Now about this purchase: Flipkart Delivery 1. Delivery was a day early and that is the only good thing. 2. The Box itself looked like it was damaged and dusty like its been kept there for a long time 3. The box had scratches every where but the product itself was undamaged and the seal was NOT opened 4. I am talking about the HP Laptop Box and not the extra box packing that it was in. The extra packing was not great either and it was almost tampered with too. Pros of the Laptop 1. It has a GTX 1070 and an i7 7700HQ Processor 2. 16 GB of ADATA 2400 RAM and a Samsung SSD (Amazing performance) (Not 960 EVO level but good enough for games) 3. G-Sync Screen is awesome(Absolutely must have). Please do some research on what is G-Sync. Beautiful 17 inch screen 4. If you are not used to a 17 inch laptop you will find it absolutely massive. But its good because of GTX 1070 5. All ports and Battery work fine. A bit less battery backup but its a gaming PC. Its expected 6. After 5 hours of gaming the temperature did not cross 58 C. No Thermal Throttling!!! No need to reapply thermal paste or cooling mods for now. 7. Comes with Microsoft Office Home and Student 2016 pre-installed. For a gaming laptop that is good enough. For office stuff I have a Dell latitude for work Cons 1. Its Thick. Well it needs to be that way to maintain less heat. However its very THICCC! 2. Fans are LOUD. Although its needed for keeping this beast cool. It is super Loud. Cannot game without a good headset that covers your Ears completely 3. Cannot keep it on Lap although its a Laptop ironically. Because its heavy and HOT. You will need it to be placed on a table so that there is enough ventilation underneath 4. After all the driver updates, the speaker stops working. This is because of incorrect driver for sound card, Just do some research and download the correct driver from HP website manually for the sound card. Once the correct one is installed it works great! Bass is non existent but you wont use the speaker because of jet engine like fan noise Other than that I got it at the best price I feel and you will not be disappointed if you have one of these for gaming. There is no way you can get a laptop that is super thin and light and runs cooler and CHEAP!. Its impossible for now at least with the technology until now. If you get a good deal just Buy it. HP OMEN 17-w250TX (remember the model, there are other OMEN with similar model names that are useless)

The laptop is really good on the price that I got it (Rs 1,30,000). It's a beast and has got tons of power. The display is really bright too. Just buy it.

Amazing beast, got delivered on time also got a gaming laptop backpack free that's also awesome. U can run the latest games in ultra HD settings. Screen and the keyboard are also nice. Its a little bit heavy. But Overall it's amazing . Go for it.

Have been using this laptop for a week now. This laptop performance is just amazing, Period!! Not much bling/show off as other competitors like MSI/Alienware, but performance wise, this is a beast!! Not writing much about the pros of laptop, since the configuration speaks for itself!! Focusing more on Cons since, that is what buyer needs to know. Pros: 1) Boot-up time 6 to 8 seconds(not joking). Thanks to 256 GB SSD(pre-configured) allocated to C:/ drive. 2) Game load time is much faster, since 1TB (pre-configured) D:/ drive is of 7200 rpm and not traditional 5400 rpm. 3) Have used the laptop for playing Mafia 3 continuously for 4 hours. Heat dissipation is good, and at Max settings for games like Mafia 3, the only part of laptop that heated was exhaust vents (and no where else), and it was not too hot either (near the vents). A small amount of heat seeps through laptop keyboard but that is negligible. Also, FAN sound is not that high. Does not need cooling pad if You are placing laptop on flat surfaces, might need cooling pad if You use it on bed or lap, as air intake is below the laptop. Cons: (Reason for 4 stars, but negligible for gamers "like me" :P) 1) Touchpad is bad, very cheap plastic feel. But I usually do not use laptop mouse/touchpad, I use external mouse instead for gaming, so this is not an issue for me. 2) NO DVD/CD ROM/RW. I use steam, so did not matter for me. Advantage of removing this? More space for cooling the GTX 1070 beast! Also, You can get external DVD R/Ws at low cost if necessary. 3) FHD display is a bit low on brightness. Little bit problematic to spot things right away in dark parts of the game, but display isn't that bad either.. Nvedia Vibrance might help to some extent, but not the best of the solutions. Horror games might be more exiting to play though :P 4) Separate pins for Headphone and Microphone, so If You use single pin stereo headphones, You need to buy additional 1 female-2 male Jack/extension cable. However, this cable is available at cheap rates. 5) Most of the USB, LAN ports etc are on Right hand side of laptop(unlike my previous HP laptops). So, If You have limited space to keep this 17' beast (with a kind of wide bezel), the cables might get In your way while using external mouse side by side. Finally FPS: Used this laptop only for a week, so I could not test many high end games on this laptop yet. But the CPU(seems under clocked as per benchmarks, not sure), GPU and motherboard combo is one of the best and should handle almost everything. 1. Mafia 3: 65-75 FPS when settings maxed out. I've limited the FPS settings to 60 FPS in game. So, I'm getting a steady 58 to 60 FPS in game, despite bad weather or fast driving in game(which involves motion blurring). 2. CS Go: 170 to 200 FPS with settings maxed out. BTW, Laptop speaker produces decent/good enough sound, but not the best I've heard though. Update Regarding other negative reviews on the Flipkart website for this product: Well its the seller's mistake to say that this laptop has GTX 1080 graphics. GTX 1080 is the best graphics card in the market yet and You cannot expect it to be put in a laptop for this price. Laptops with GTX 1080 will be more expensive. This laptop has GTX 1070 which is the 2nd best beast from Nvidea. And, I'm also getting regular updates for windows 10 and HP drivers for this laptop. NO issues with updates. Processor details: Intel Core i7-7700HQ (2.8 GHz, up to 3.8 GHz, 6 MB cache, 4 cores) Overall, I'd recommend this product.. Same configuration in Alienware is another 40k more.. Also, MSI is priced at similar price range, but their service is nothing when compared with HP.

Best laptop and Power house for containt creating and gaming

Initially the laptop stayed cool.. after installing all software n games it started heating up.. but bearable and u definitely need a mouse touch pad is not that great and button click noise is on the high side.. pros is graphics card.. Dont fall for no cost emi: they only pay processing fee.. EMI is still charged at 13%

Recieved the product 2 days back before 1 day of estimated delivery time by eKart. Unboxed and gone through the hardwares and softwares specified by Flipkart. Whatever they specified found it in product genuinely. Checked with games like Battlefield 1 and GTA5 with ultra setting. I am very much satisfied. Screen looks pretty decent. Boot time and game loading time is very quick. It was a dream gaming pro laptop experience so far unless I encountered one fatal problem and that is "EXTERNEL HARD DRIVE (HDD) OF WD COMPANY HAVING 1 TB CAPACITY IS NOT GETTING DETECTED". Now as usual the reader will think my wd hdd is curropt or usb might curropt. Let me clarify I have checked this hdd with my other laptop and with my PC, it works like charm. Complained and got telephonic support from HP technical team via remote control and calls. Didn't work. Now I have been told that same HP guy will contact me tomorrow to discuss it. Its been my 3rd day of laptop. Lets see tomorrow and will update for the same. I am in dillema what to do. Lets hope for the best. UPDATE 2: Now as I have rated it 3 star from 1 star beacause I got a satisfaction with external hdd connection. Though my wd hdd is still not recognisable with this laptop but working with Seagate hdd. I will keep on updating on this. UPDATE 3: One of the hardware engineer from HP have left just now for my WD HDD detection issue. Absolute useless visit. Sorry to say but its true. Instead of bringing cables and other stuff he was saying me to arrange and check with. How many hardwares/cables I can arrange? I am a customer not a company or hardware shop. The HP support left me nothing but get a replacement. UPDATE 4: Its been more than a month and I am averagely satisfied because of ups and downs in drivers of the hardware. I was experiencing trouble beacuse of graphic card driver load fail issue every time I start the laptop. Problem has veen resolved by HP Virtual assistant when following a step where I have updated laptop's BIOS from intel. Now the only issue I have been experiencing is a fluctuations in audio when I play any video file by any video player. I will update this soon.

I was about to buy it thinking it was 1080 and 3.6ghz bt actually it is 1070 and 2.8ghz.. Basically fooling people to get it..noe they must show the correct info and considering that omen had power bt not that superb body and trackpad and keyboard it should be not more than 150000..169000 is overpriced

Okay now! Got the laptop today (i.e 26th March). The laptop look fabulous. Just faltered on the body. Now to the important part coz looks are not everything. As flipkart shows in the list of configuration that the laptop has a processor of 3.6gz you will get the 2.8gz laptop. Wait! Wait! now that's not all. The another cherry on top is flipkart says the laptop has Nvidia 1080 GTX, And when in hand you look it up you will see that the laptop has Nvidia 1070 GTX. Man.. Paying 1.70 lakh for a laptop and getting totally different thing in hand.. Just wow! Just to check for the updates of drivers visited the hp support and drivers update site. There it says that we do not support the device has its out dated. I seriously can't understand what is this going on with all this. Just wow flipkart. Thanks for showing that you can't be trusted for the information of the product. I have registered a complain to filpkart now lets see what response they provide.
