If you like the sound of a fan but don't like the air flowing on you in cooler months then this filter is perfect.

It does the job well for what I needed, but be advised this product is by-definition not a HEPA air purifier. Check the wikipedia page for HEPA, it's 99.97% of particles at 0.3 micron, not 99%, not "up to 99.97", not "particles as small as 0.3 micron". That's all marketing stuff and they're lying to you.I bought the unit because I live in a smoker household and wanted to cut down on the smell and health effects of smoke in a somewhat small bedroom. When the door is closed, the smell of smoke is completely gone when the unit is on, which is what I was going for. May not be the best unit for asthma sufferers as the ionizer could make that worse, and it's not a proper HEPA unit, but in my case it works well.The ionizer by the way is right at the exhaust port on one side, so I would recommend if purchasing this unit to not have it near anything you don't want to get dirty. The ionizer will put a charge on dust (or in my case smoke) particles that go through it and they will stick to the nearest surface. Leaves a good brown layer on nearby papers and the desk I have it on (I have it oriented with the fan blowing out horizontally and the intake on top. Nice that they have rubber feet on the side for this purpose).

Hola, este purificador se me tron� al mes de uso, lo cual agradezco porque despu�s de informarme un poco m�s descubr� que genera iones que no son muy buenos para la salud . Ahora tengo 2 LEVOIT y los recomiendo altamenteCreo que es super importante que nos informes de todo antes de comprar. Suena muy bonito tener aire limpio en la CDMX pero si al final no va a ser saludable, de todas maneras no sirve de nada
