Awesome cooling I am very happy.

Hitachi...what a air conditioner. I purchased it last year @27000 , full money back, cooling system is extremely well, within 3 minutes it's cooling effects shows..very economical, less electricity consumption. That's why i rate it 5 starrrrr...

Window AC supplied by Ace Technomark, Noida in less than a day of placing order, which was well before committed time and a pleasant surprise. AC package came in good condition and am satisfied with the functioning of the product so far (just 3 days).

From my personal experience of buying an AC I know that I was mostly looking to save the recurrent cost, and I was open to buy anything that will save me money in the long run. Which is why I have made this table below of the maximum Power Consumption (and averaging across various brands and ACs) of Different type of ACs available in the market. There might be a few outliers here and there but the below average is from 1000s of samples. Please read the notes below for my observation based on the below table.1 Ton Window AC :3 Star : 1050 - 1150 Watts5 Star : 1000 - 1100 Watts1 Ton Split AC (The evaporator/indoor unit power consumption is very less, so only compressor power is considered) :3 Star : 1050 - 1150 Watts5 Star : 1000 - 1100 Watts1.5 Ton Window AC :2 Star : More than 1750 Watts3 Star : 1550 - 1700 Watts5 Star : 1450 - 1550 Watts1.5 Ton Split AC (The evaporator/indoor unit power consumption is very less, so only compressor power is considered) :2 Star : More than 1700 Watts3 Star : 1550 - 1650 Watts5 Star : 1400 - 1450 WattsAs a very rough calculation, I will say every extra 200 Watts running for 5 hours (compressor run time, not AC) will cost you an extra Rs.200 per month. For example an AC running at 1400 Watts will have a lower bill of Rs. 200 than an AC running at 1600 Watts if they both run for 5 hours daily. Ofcourse there are other variables in the calculation as well.Observational Notes :1) There is not enough saving between 3 Star & 5 Star rating ACs to save a huge amount of money IMO.2) If Possible going for a lesser tonnage AC, will save a decent amount of money in the monthly bill.3) Ofcourse second step also includes finding the Cooling Wattage of the AC, so just to add Stars awarded are based on the cooling capacity wattage divided by power consumption wattage, which gives EER of a unit.4) There is not much difference between Split and Window AC as far as saving electricity bills is concerned.5) Inverter ACs are a different beast and none of the above points apply to Inverter AC.Just to add a bit about the particular AC, it has good EER based on which stars are awarded. This AC with its very decent cooling capacity and lower wattage compressor will save you quite a big chunk of money monthly depending upon your usage.

Good window AC from Hitachi, one of the top brands. Comes with copper condenser, and gives more cooling than a 1 ton AC. 5 star means energy bills are atleast 10-15% less than 3 star ACs.Go for it.

Very nice performance. I am very Happy to have this AC. In total I have 2 Window AC from Hitachi at my Home. Very reliable. Excellent service from Hitachi .

It's a nice product with good features. cooling is average. Need to use sleep mode for reducing the sound. Low electricity consumption.

Cooling is nice but makes lots of noise.

Have been using this AC for 1.5 years now. Great cooling. 24-26 keeps the room cool and comfortable in summer. Didn't buy it online though. Bought it from local dealer. Electricity consumption is really less. The only reason I gave it a 4 star because it is not so quiet.

Good AC but a little noisy, probably true for all window ACs. Need to use the quiet mode while sleeping.

The quality that Hitachi used to command is now diminished. The quality of motors/ Compressor is poor.

As expected cooling is not so good but better then a cooler.it is for small room less then 10x8

One ecom site was offering 3000 cash points on price of 26944/- * Service of Flipkart very poor - person delivered at ground floor and not 2nd floor (my home) * No installation available. * Return Policy not effective. (didn't accept Return, when applied) rating not of product but of Flipkart

Poor airconditioner, dont go for it. Makes a lot of noise and the company service is pathetic. Cooling is also below par.

Please be careful if you are looking for a Hitachi A/C. It is not just their service that has quality issues but their products also are not reliable. Think twice before spending on Hitachi. I bought this model a/c 4 years ago and it is having only issues. All the frills stopped working in few months like dust sensors, swing,etc. And the the cooling started detonating. It is not able to cool 100sft room.The current problem is fins freezes and forms ice as in the picture and the A/C start blowing hot air. I have raised till now three tickets and they keep closing without addressing it.Thank you. Hitachi for making my family deprive of sleep this summer!

My remote that came with the ac was defective. I ordered 2 ac, one from amazon the through Rudram electronics other through some other online portal, no problem with amazon service but I doubt Rudram electronics .

Bought this AC as this is one of the quietest that I came across. However, no one called for installation and so i got it installed from the local electrician. The AC is working but there are noises coming from the compressor

Horrible product and pathetic service!Within 3 months of purchase the air conditioner, the problem of tripping is occurring frequently. Within 30 days, we have registered couple of requests with the services center. The assistance were delayed and quite unsatisfactory. The technician were unable to resolve the issue once and for all rather suggested to buy new stabilizers with high capacity. The stabilizer they suggested would cost around 5k and are not recommended.Better tried and tested products are of Daikin and O general!

Worst product i have gone out for two months when i have returned the ac get on for 30 seconds then always get of and E9 comes. And the remote wals also not good

These are fake hitachi products being sold in india. My 1.5 ton split got worst in 1 year, 2 times gas leakage, now indoor motor and capacitor is not working. Customer care is not able to resolve. Technicians visited 2 times but could not resolve. Hitachi Technicians are also illiterate they are telling they are given only 2 hrs training before being sent to field for repairs. Stay away from hitachi.

I bought this model 4 years ago and now it's coil has been damaged completely and it's repair expenses are so high, it's like company is knowingly manufacturing defective pieces so that they can earn from us in this way also.Hi Hitachi thanks a lot for this trouble because of you I have to sleep without AC in this burning summer.

Worst product ever from amazon

I have a 120 sq foot room and it does not cool well. This AC has better specs. It is a bit expensive too compared to other 1 tonners. Bought it after a lot of research and trusting Hitachi quality. May be it will work well for rooms less than 100 sq feet. For 120 sq feet, it takes a lot of time to reach 25 degrees and then the compressor will trip but the room has not reached 25 degrees, I am sure. Now 25 degrees is the best setting of you want to achieve energy efficiency. If you keep it lower from 20-23 it does get better but the compressor won't shut off and honestly it still does not feel like 20 degrees.

Not working properly after 2 days. I have called hitachi company's technical team for resolution

Hitachi quality under johnson controls has detiorated. Bad motor.
