Gionee Pioneer P3 User Reviews and Ratings

On buying this phone i was concerned on 2 issues, Internal storage capacity and display qulaity. Internal capacity of 4gb is adequate. 1 gb for user installed apps and 350 MB for photographs + expandable storage via sd card and the possibility of shifting most apps to the sd card. Display quality is fine no problem or limitation that I've felt. Only display drawback is that the backlight of the 3 navigation buttons below the screen do not adjust for brightness along with the rest of the screen, making them a pain when using the phone in the dark for a while. Processor is fast. Its a quad core Cortex A7. There is no lag. Phone comes with all connectivity features : BT, 2g,3g, wifi that you would expect in this range. Battery backup is not bad. lasts me a few days with 2g data on. wifi is not a power sucker. USB connectivity with the pc is good. Gionee's interface is clear and useful. Gionee has given a bundle of useful software like DU battery saver, Oneclean, Nq antivirus, phone accelerator, kingsoft office, whatsapp, Flashlight ( the flashlight is very good), google apps, tools, productivity etc. and some useful widgets. Their launcher and UI is cool The camera is fine. it's not ok in low light but comparatively and keeping in mind the range the camera is above average. Its 5 megapixels and doesnt disappoint. Now lets come to the minus points: 1. Weight. Its heavy. You get used to it and I think it's a durable build but its heavy. 2. lockscreen controls : any widgets on lockscreen don't work liek music player, messages etc. 3.If you use the clock widget(different from the weather - time widget) the widget's date will not update properly. there is some kink in the display of sender's name in messaging. if the message is from airtel or myntra or some group messaging server it sometimes shows 'N' and sometimes the name flashes. Overall i found this to be the most value offering phone under Rs. 10,000. Only contender would be Lumia 520/525 but i think windows phone is not upto the mark of android. Galaxy S duos offers 8gb storage I think, same display quality, 768mb RAM (compared to 500mb of Gionee) and the possible higher expectations from a samsung camera, less weight. However P3 optimally uses 500mb ram with its quad core processor and the storage difference is made up by an sd card. The only victory S duos can have is in terms of weight. Thought I'd give the new player a try see if it can become Samsung's Kryptonite. Sure has got it. It also looks better than the S Duos. P.S. - Got a cool backcover and screenguard in the box. Don't know if online sellers are giving that deal.

Good for look.............But low RAM Chinese device maker Gionee has made a lot of buzz in the Indian smartphone market with its latest offerings in the premium as well as budget segment. This Chinese brand not only seems to be targeting brands like LG, Samsung, Sony, HTC with its premium offerings like Elife E7, Elife E6, but also it looks to be taking on Indian device makers like Micromax, Karbonn and Xolo with its budget smartphones.

I am using this phone for the past 6-8 months as a user , the defects what i can say is that 1) it has a very low battery capacity , very low means vevevevevevevery low battery capcity . Maybe in 10 mins you can finish 20% of ur battery life . 2) The phone is slow , there is laging , huge laging and the phone becomes slow IF YOU ARE BUYING A PHONE FOR WEB SURFING AND MAIL , NEVER BUY THIS PHONE BECAUSE THERE IS A HUGE LAG AND THE PHONE HANGS UP . apart from thes defects , the phone has a Decent performance , Thank You jXXXXXX

I feel the camera is pretty good in HDR mode.But its only 5 mp camera

Gionee has shown its big presence as a great smartphone companys by launching its benchmarking smartphones like Gionee Elife series but they also targeted indian mid-range market by the pioneer range.Gionee Pioneer P3 is one of those device which does not ruin your pocket as I got this phone from Gionee Mobile Store,World Trade Park , Jaipur and it cost me Rs.7690 It has been powerpacked by a quad core processor which helps in multi-tasking.The 5MP Auto Focus camera is not so much good .The 4.3 inch display provides stunning graphics .Can easily play games like Subway Surfer,Temple Run ,Need For Speed : MW and many more but it would have been better if it was eqipped with 1 GB of RAM.The battery backup is also good and it has preloaded battery saver apps and antivirus app (Norton ).The sound quality of the device is also impressive .It is slim in size and you can keep it in your hands for hours without any discomfort .It's body is scratch resistant and you also get a flip cover in the box.I really loved the "in the box" headphones .I can say that it is worth the money you spend for it .At last based on my experience I recommend this phone for those who love multi-tasking but not for enthusiastic camera users.

Touch is sensitive and faster than other mobiles because it having quad core processor camera is really good but front camera is little poor having VGA

I wanted a phone that would look good, have a decent camera, and not heavy on my pocket.Camera: if you are somebody who wants a camera for uploading photos to Facebook, this eould br more than enough. The pictures are of decent quality. Using it for 3 weeks now.Appearance: external appearance is not in any way lesser than the branded ones.Browsing: as long as you are using it for android applications it works like a dream. But the moment you try for extensive web surfing the 512 MB ram problem shows insufficient RAM. But again for a price this low this phone works excellently.Battery: lasts for a decent duration , no complaints.VERDICT: Best phone in this price range.

Overall I am very happy with this product. earlier i used Sony Ericsson Live walkman mobile lets compare with that. I have taken from local mkt in hyd - 7k + POINTS Screen size 4.3" Speed 1.3 Quardcore Dual sim 1 GSM 3G + 2 GSM 2G Options / Themes Screen Protectors 2 Pcs inside the box Pre Installed most of using apps(Compass, Call recorder, Voice recorder, Poker, Flash light, Notes, Whats app, Kingsoft Office, we chat, true caller) - POINTS Battery backup is less as i expected (being 1700 mah) for complete charging it is taking almost 2.5 hrs... I can not say exactly Battery backup is either + or -. Display (comparing with my sony erricsson i feel it is less) RAM Gelly Case is not provided and outside market i could not find.

I bought this phone from market with flip cover in Rs. 7100 5 days ago. It works good. Its a very good budget phone in the range around 7000 but flipkart rate is too high. Touch screen very responsive and camera quality is also good, in night time above average. It can play 1080p vedios wihtout any lag and run casual games with ease. I haven't found any kind of issues till date. overall its a very good phone and I am satisfied with this.

I brought this phone couple of days back from local retailer as I black variant was not availble on flipkart. now coming to the device...sealed box consist of data cable, two screen guards and a back cover of very gud quality ,battery,earphones and charger. PROS: -looks and feels sturdy - screen is very bright and viewing angles are ok....neither gud nor bad. -amigo interface is quite gud and feels different from stock android. -quadcore processor and mali 400mp gpu makes processing buttersmooth.... -rear 5mp camera is really good when compared to camera perfomance of home brands phones lik micromax,xolo,spice,karbon........its neearly equal to lumina's 520 5mp camera. -secondary camera is not that good.....but acceptable for video chats. -battery can last long for one day in avg use. -earphones are just avg.....loud enough....but lacs base. cons: -512mb ram is the only cons that I felt......but still with 4-5 apps running in background dint notice any lag till now.....but while playing high end game you may sumtime feel the need of more ram. - if a 2000mah battery would hav been provided then this handset would have been perfet. BuT at price tag of around 6.8k you cannot expect everything. verdict Its the: best budget quadcore fone under 7k price tag. with really gud built quality...

Hello Flipkarters , There is no doubt that Gionee is emerging as a strong competitor. Their products are absolutely value for money, Touch of the phone is perfect. I am amazed that with 512mb memory ,games are running as smooth as on PSP. 5 Star to the inbox accessories like mobile screen guard and mob. rubber protector. Gionee has come with great build quality. Pros:- 4.3 inches of bright color full display 512 mb ram and 1.3 ghz quad core processor 512 mb ram seems less at first sight but it doesn't leg at all. but from 4 gb of internal memory 371 mb is available for phone and 1.3 gb memory is for applications which is less then expected but its not bad. normal games like subway surfer and temple run are running smoothly. battery life is also great. 5 mp camera with flash is also great.. night photos are not worst at all. cons:- As a budget phone there are no cons at all. after all what can u probably expect form a 6799 rs budget phone. even they provide 2 screen guards and a back cover. so go for it if you plan to buy a budget phone.

Best amart phone in a reasonable rate. Really best phone as comparing to other phones of this range. So if you're going to buy a phone of rs. Upto 7000 pls prefer this.
