Xbox One February Update Unveiled With Game Hubs and More

Microsoft has revealed a slew of features to hit its Xbox One console. Those in the Xbox One preview program can check these out right away while the rest of us will have to wait till early next month.

Of these, the most notable inclusion is individual hubs for each game. What this lets you do is track your progress through a game via achievements, leaderboards, downloadable content, and videos of your friends. It's a slick addition that finally puts the Xbox One on par with the PlayStation 4 in terms of statistics tracking per game.

If this wasn't enough, custom backgrounds which were added last year can be seen in greater clarity and detail with the inclusion of tile transparency.

Other features include the addition of titles to make the Xbox One community's more prolific Twitch broadcasters stand out, the ability to see trending shows in a separate tab if you're the sort who uses the Xbox One with cable TV, and being able to stream live TV to Windows Phone and Android, albeit only if you use the console's TV tuner peripheral.

Though the TV-related add-ons won't make an appearance for Indian users, due to Microsoft not launching the related services for it here, it marks the continued intent to see improvements to a device that has not had the best of beginnings. Indian Xbox One owners who are not a part of the Xbox One preview program can expect this update to be available for download early February.
