Microsoft is not only focusing on enhancing the experience for Xbox One users, but is also bringing new features and functions to its older Xbox 360 console too. The firm this week, in the midst of GDC 2015, introduced the Xbox 360 Preview programme along with a new way for Xbox 360 owners to stock up on Xbox One games.

The newly-announced Xbox 360 Preview programme will work like the Xbox One Preview programme, said Major Nelson a.k.a Larry Hryb on his website on Monday. The preview programme will start with select invitees and will gradually spread to other users worldwide. Also, Hryb explained that the first release of the programme will address connectivity issues via the help of downloading and uploading speed tests.

"In our upcoming release will be addressing common customer issues including improving the ability to troubleshoot common network issues from the 360 and adding a Network Connectivity test including Download and Upload speed tests," said Hryb.

Xbox 360 users who sign up for the programme will have to look for a special Xbox Live message which will include the preview programme invite.

Hryb also announced a new feature that now lets Xbox Live Gold members who don't have an Xbox One console yet build their library of Xbox One Games With Gold games directly from the Xbox 360 console. While users could previously have done it via the Web or via an Xbox One, Xbox 360 users can now visit the Games With Gold section to add the free and discounted games to their library.
