While popular PC game digital distribution platform Steam is known for its fantastic sales, it also has weekend deals. This week's offer is surprisingly generous, offering discounts on the Metal Gear franchise.
You can snag Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain for Rs. 538 marked down from Rs. 769. Considering the physical version of the game is nothing more than the Steam client, you might as well buy it digitally.
In addition to this, cult action classic Metal Gear Rising Revengeance is available for Rs. 490. It usually costs Rs. 1,960. The 75 percent discount makes it well worth checking out if you haven't already.
Also discounted by 75 percent is the prologue to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Yes, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is Rs. 326 instead of Rs. 1,306.
This isn't all, you can grab downloadable content (DLC) for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain's multiplayer component, Metal Gear Online for cheap too. Granted these are essentially cosmetic items along with a few maps, but it's nice to see Konami dropping the price of everything related to the series on PC right now. Even more so when you consider we're not going to see another game in the series any time soon.
Having said that, we found the PC versions of the Metal Gear games to be well worth playing. Particularly Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain which looks gorgeous even on fairly middling hardware.
