You will be able to play Titanfall 2 on October 28 this year. It will be available on the PC via EA's Origin digital distribution service and Xbox One as well as the PS4. In the past a single-player campaign was only teased and later hinted at, now it has been confirmed. The presentation stressed it can be played offline and will focus on "exploring the unique bond between pilot and titan." In this case it appears to be the titan named BT-7274 and its pilot, rifleman Jack Cooper.

The trailer showed off new enemy types including what seemed to be a kind of dragon, a host of mechs, and some glorious close quarter combat featuring robots beating the living daylights out of each other. Respawn appear to be going for something similar to Asimov's Three Laws of Robotics what with the trailer referring to "protocols" that seem a tad familiar to the sci-fi writer's tenets.

A single-player campaign for Titanfall 2 is a welcome addition. Even more so considering that the first game, while being a blast in multiplayer, lacked any offline component to keep us hooked. The reason for the absence of a single-player campaign in the previous entry was due to the lack of funds at Respawn Entertainment.

Aside from the trailer, the rehearsal footage stated there will be six new titans, expanded gameplay and customisation, as well as a deeper progression system. There will be a multiplayer technical analysis as well, which fans can register for on the official website. Expect more details on the same in days to come.
