Tencent has announced the PUBG Mobile Club Open 2019, it's a year-long event that has both pro and semi-pro teams competing for a $2-million prize pool — the largest ever for PUBG Mobile. The PUBG Mobile Club Open 2019 is divided into the Spring Split and Fall Split, each with a separate prize pool and a Global Finals. The Spring Split Global Finals is slated for July 2019. Tencent claims that last year's PUBG Mobile Star Challenge 2018 tournaments saw 230 million online views and over 5,000 attendees at the finals in Dubai. It was won by Thai-based RRQ Athena.

Rules and requirements for taking part in the event include having attained Platinum rank at the end of the last season as well as having parental consent for those under local legal age. At least three players from each team must be from the region they are competing to represent. PUBG Mobile Club Open 2019 registrations began on March 8 and end on March 18 via the game's official website.

And if you're not the competitive type, PUBG Mobile is getting a new update that would allow players to convert Battle Coins (BC) to Unknown Cash (UC). This would grant access to rare weapon skins and outfits. Unlike the previous PUBG Mobile Crew Challenge, Bonus Challenge is for solo players rather than teams. Entering requires either Bonus Challenge Vouchers or Unknown Cash and there are three tiers— Novice, Adept, and Expert. Each kill grants points which can be used to get UC packs or cosmetic items. The update doesn't have a release date just yet.

While the Bonus Challenge is no secret thanks to serial PUBG Mobile leaker Mr. Ghost Gaming, a new video has brought to light when it would be expected in the game. There are three tiers of entry for the Bonus Challenge — Novice, Adept, and Expert. Each kill in the Novice Bonus Challenge in PUBG Mobile nets players 15 points, while Adept players get 30 points, and Experts get 45 points. Each point equals one battle coin with maximum earnings being 1500.

The PUBG Mobile Bonus Challenge is open to Android, iOS, and PC emulator players and is limited to 60 players per match. The best players are highlighted on a top 30 list.
