With the PS4 Pro out on November 10, Sony has announced the games that will take advantage of its extra horsepower.

“Next Thursday, November 10, sees the launch of PS4 Pro, our most powerful console ever. Offering enhanced performance via boosted CPU and GPU, with resolutions up to 4K, HDR imaging technology, and faster, more stable frame rates, it’s the ultimate way to enjoy your favourite games,” writes Fred Dutton, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Blog Manager.

Some games such as Infamous: Second Son and Uncharted 4 will have updates to make use of the PS4’s prowess. Others like Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, have enhancements built right in to the base game.

In addition to the above list, more than 45 games will be optimised for PS4 Pro by the end of the year. These include Watch Dogs 2, Killing Floor 2, The Last Guardian, and Final Fantasy XV — with the likes of Nioh, Resident Evil 7, and For Honor to follow in early next year.

Furthermore, all game developed by Sony’s studios launched in 2017 and beyond, including Gravity Rush 2, Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone, and Gran Turismo Sport, will support the PS4 Pro.

As for India, there’s no clarity as to when the PS4 Pro would hit the shelves. Though if we were to take a guess given Sony India’s actions in the past, we’d peg it for a January release at Rs. 39,990 each. Reason being, it occupies the $399 price - which is what the PS4 was at launch. This translated to a Rs. 39,990 price. It will be interesting to see if foreign exchange fluctuations result in a higher price though.
