In a new development, the popular PlayerUnknown's Battleground (PUBG) mobile game has managed to achieve three million players in the United States. According to the latest data from analytics platform App Ape, the PUBG Mobile game has crossed the three million mark in US, with majority of its downloads coming from Android. This comes after the company announced last month that PUBG Mobile has achieved 100 million downloads on Android and iOS platforms both. To recall, PUBG multiplayer battle royale game for mobile devices was launched in March this year.

The new data, obtained by Android Headlines, reveals that the game reached a peak of 3.1 million US players, with 1.7 million from Android. This is significant because the early 100 million downloads milestone now suggests that US was not an important contributor to the success of the game. The data also reveals that over 30 percent of PUBG Mobile US players are women, and its user base launches the game 5.5 times every day on average. The data reveals that 14 percent of the US users open the app every day, while half of the US users play the game at least once a month. The App Ape service also reveals that most of the players of the game are 'casual players', who also play games like Clash Royale and Pokemon Quest.

Tencent launched PUBG Mobile in March for Android and iOS users. In May, it surpassed the milestone of 10 million daily active users around the world, excluding China. Very recently, the game makers announced that they had surpassed 14 million daily active users in less than four months (excluding China, Japan, and Korea). The game is touted to be the "most accessible mobile game" - taking on Fortnite that is yet to reach all Android devices.
