A farm in the UK is trying to take Farmville's success from the virtual world to the real one. With an annual online subscription of 30-pounds, 10,000 users can participate in taking decisions about what happens on this farm, located in Cambridgeshire, England.

The National Trust, whose main intension was to reconnect the people with farming, started the whole idea. The virtual farmers will need to take 12 major monthly decisions about crops, the livestock breed, and the wider impact of the farm on environment and wildlife. The decisions that get the most number of votes will be implemented on the farm. The voting process will go live on May 26, 2011.

Facebook app Farmville immerses users in a similar experience where they can run a virtual farm, sow crops and buy farm animals. If you are already bored of doing it online, it is time to give it a shot in real life.
