Microsoft ties up with Airtel to offer free Xbox Live gold memberships and more

Microsoft ties up with Airtel to offer free Xbox Live gold memberships and more

Airtel and Microsoft have tied-up to launch a combo offer under which the two companies are offering a number of freebies including Xbox Live Gold memberships to new and existing Xbox customers who choose Airtel as their Internet service provider.

Consumers who buy an Xbox 360 4GB Kinect console and upgrade or purchase a new Airtel High Speed Broadband connection can get discounts of up to Rs. 15,500. It's worth pointing out that the discount is only applicable when the customer pays an annual rental of Rs. 8,500 for a 2 mbps broadband plan or an annual rental of Rs. 9,500 for a 4 Mbps plan. The user gets 10GB data allowance every month. After the cap, Airtel reduces the Internet speed of the connection to 256 Kbps.

For new Xbox 360 customers the combo offer includes 10 Xbox 360 games worth Rs. 7,200, 12-months free Xbox LIVE gold membership worth Rs. 3,499 and discounts of up to Rs. 4,888 on their existing or new Airtel broadband connection.

Current Xbox 360 console owners who buy a high speed Airtel Broadband connection can save up to Rs. 4,888  and also get a free Xbox LIVE gold membership for three months.

Existing Airtel broadband users can get 10 free Games and a FREE 12 months Xbox LIVE Gold Membership if they buy an Xbox 360 4GB with Kinect and upgrade to special broadband plans.

While three games- Kinect Disneyland, Your Shape Fitness 2, and Kinect Adventures are offered inside the box, 7 additional games have to be downloaded online. These games include Alan Wak, Fable 3, Gears of War 1, Halo ODST, Halo Wars, Mass Effect, and Crackdown 2.

The offer is available for consumers across Delhi NCR, Bangalore, Chennai, and Mumbai and is valid until 30th June, 2013.

Users can register by filling up an online form on www.airtel.in/xbox or by sending an SMS with the keyword 'XBOX' to 53636 or by calling Airtel at 1800 103 0121.
