The latest instalment of one of the most iconic open world video game
franchises, Grand Theft Auto V, is being called the bestselling title
of 2013. The game was released in the second half of the year.
The
news fails to come as a surprise as the same was expected ever since
GTA V roped in $800 million within a day of its launch.
Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, also
confirmed the information it its financial earnings, stating, "Grand
Theft Auto V finished as the best-selling video game of 2013." The press
release
further mentioned "To date, Grand Theft Auto V has sold-in more than
32.5 million units," and attributed NPD Group retail tracking data.
It
has been also noted that recently GTA: San Andreas, the previous
iteration of GTA V, got released on Windows Phone Store but only for
selected devices.
GTA San Andreas is only available for Nokia Lumia: 1520, 1320, 822,
820, 810, HTC: 8XT.
The game's downloadable size is 19GB
and requires an additional 2.5GB to run. Since the download size is
huge, the users have been recommended to download the game via Wi-Fi
connection.
Before the release of GTA: San Andreas on
Windows Phones, the PC version of GTA V was spotted on the Amazon's
German website.
GTA V PC version is listed at 60 euros, which is approximately Rs.
5,000. There is no word on the minimum system requirements of the game
as of now. The listing page also mentions that the PC version is only
available for Windows 7 and Windows Vista OS versions. Corroborating the
Amazon Germany listing, Amazon France reportedly also listed the PC
version on its shelves, a listing that has now been removed from the
website
