Bethesda has announced that the company will be rolling out a sizeable graphics update for Fallout 4 next week for PC users. On the console side of things, the company has announced that it is introducing support for PlayStation 4 Pro with the game's version 1.9 update coming next week. Even though PS4 Pro users can rest easy, PC users might have to reconsider their rig specifications for the demanding update.

Users will be able to download the 'High Resolution Texture Pack' for Fallout 4 on PC, which will provide a visual upgrade to the game, for free when it becomes available next week. "Consider this free download a love letter to our amazing PC fans that have supported us - not just with Fallout 4, but across multiple decades and games," the company said in its news post.

However, complications start when we move to the recommended requirements for the update. As per the company, recommended specifications for Fallout 4's upcoming update includes an Intel Core i7-5820K or better processor, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 8GB, and more than 8GB of RAM. Apart from this, users will further need an additional space of 58GB on their storage drives to download the update.

Interestingly, Bethesda pulled mention of unreleased AMD Radeon RX 490, which was also said to support the game's graphic update, as per an Engadget report.

"If your system can handle it, the Commonwealth will look better than ever. Give it a shot and if you need to return to the original textures, you can disable them within the game's launcher menu," Bethesda said.

On PS4 Pro console, the update will bring along native support for native 1440p resolution, enhanced draw distance for trees, grass, objects and NPCs (non-playable characters), and enhanced 'Godray' effects, the company said.
