Could Blizzard be working on a new Diablo game? A job listing on the company website seems to hint at just that, confirming that development is under way on "a new, unannounced Diablo project". Previously the company teased Diablo 3 for the Nintendo Switch. Given the nature of the job listing, it's unlikely that this is the same as its efforts on Diablo for the Nintendo Switch. Reason being, the description calls for a "skilled dungeon artist". As the term implies, it has to do with the creation of new art assets. Therefore, it could be for an entirely new project altogether. With Diablo 3 being six years old this year, we won't be surprised that this is the case.

"We’re working on a new, unannounced Diablo project. Are you a skilled dungeon artist? Come work with us, and together we will build something exceptional," the description reads.

That said, it's unlikely for this to be revealed at E3. Blizzard usually reveals its upcoming games and events at its own event, Blizzcon.

A few months back, Blizzard took to Twitter to tease what could be a release of the popular role-playing game for Nintendo's console. The official Blizzard account tweeted a short video of a Diablo nightlight being switched on and off repeatedly.

Many replies to this believe it could be a hint of Diablo 3 coming to the Nintendo Switch. Last week, industry insider and editor Marcus Sellars claimed that Diablo 3 is in the works for Nintendo’s hybrid console smash hit. He further went on to say that it would be out next year.

“Diablo 3 is in development for the Nintendo Switch and should be out early 2019”, Sellars tweeted. “They are wanting (sic) to implement local play with multiple Switches.”

It appears that local multiplayer for Diablo 3 on the Nintendo Switch may already be working if Blizzard's tweet is to be believed. Given that Blizzard hasn’t said much about what the Diablo 3 team is up to, we won’t be surprised to see it make its way to the Switch given how well received the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game were.
