Corsair has launched a new series of wireless gaming peripherals at the CES 2018. The new range from Corsair includes a wireless keyboard and a mouse pad charger hybrid. Announced at CES, Corsair's K63 Wireless Mechanical Keyboard promises to provide 75 hours of untethered gameplay. It is engineered to snap into a new K63 Wireless Gaming Lapboard. Meanwhile, the new Dark Core Wireless Gaming Mouse comes with up to 24 hours of battery life and customisable RGB backlights. Last year, Logitech had launched one of the first wireless gaming keyboards and now Corsair is throwing some serious competition its way.
The Corsair K63 Wireless Mechanical Keyboard was a CES 2018 Innovation Award honoree. It sports the classic Cherry MX Red mechanical keys and it can connect either using a 1ms 2.4GHz Bluetooth connection or a wired USB connection. The K3 has a 128-bit AES encryption to protect against keylogging. Users can set the keyboard to work in either a 1ms 2.4GHz or power-saving, low-latency Bluetooth wireless mode. The K63 Wireless Gaming Lapboard, that can be purchased separately or as a bundle is meant for gaming on the couch. It holds the keyboard in place with a memory foam cushion. The Lapboard comes with a replaceable mouse pad. The keyboard costs $109.99 (roughly Rs. 7,000), and the lapboard costs $59.99 (roughly Rs. 3,800). You can purchase them together at a discount for $159.99 (roughly Rs. 10,200) and they will be available later this month.
When it comes to the Dark Core RGB Wireless Gaming Mouse, the Bluetooth and USB connectivity is the same as that of the keyboard. The mouse has a contoured shape and can be customised with two magnetic side grips. It has a 16,000 DPI optical sensor and contains nine programmable buttons. The Dark Core mouse packs customisable RGB lighting which users can set in various patterns to match other RBG gaming gear.
It was also announced that the Dark Core RGB mouse will be compatible with Qi wireless charging. For this, a new SE version called Corsair MM1000 Qi Wireless Charging Mouse Pad has been revealed. The mouse pad with dimensions 350mmx260mmx5mm is quite big for regular use. The Qi wireless charging spot allows users to charge any Qi-enabled devices including Samsung Galaxy Note 8, Apple iPhone 8, and iPhone X. The non-Qi variant can be charged using a Qi USB dongle, which comes with USB Type-C and Lightning adapters to charge phones as well.
The Dark Core RBG Mouse and the Corsair MM1000 Qi Wireless Charging Mouse Pad will be available in January. The mouse is priced at $79.99 (roughly Rs. 5,100), and if you want the Qi wireless feature, the mouse will cost you $89.99 (roughly Rs. 5,700).
