After the discovery of a PlayStation Store listing with the name of this year's Call of Duty, and industry insiders revealing that it would be set in space, it appears that the release date of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare has been leaked.
According to an image of a pre-order card posted on Snapchat and then forwarded to Call of Duty blog, Charlie Intel, you can expect Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare on November 4. Earlier reports suggested a November 5 release date but this could turn out false if the pre-order card is to be believed.
In addition to this, there seems to be a Legacy Edition of the game which would come with Modern Warfare Remastered. This could possibly allude to a remaster of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare - often touted as the best game in the series. Don't expect it to be on disc though, the card states that "Modern Warfare Remastered is full game digital download."
It's a shrewd move from Activision to bundle Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare with a remaster of one of the better first-person shooters of the previous generation, which should bring back fans of the older games in the series.
All of this comes a day after video game critic Jim Sterling tweeted that the game will be revealed by next Tuesday and would be listed in stores as well.
Previously it was discovered that this entry in the long-running series will be set in space. The source was Shinobi, a regular on popular gaming forum NeoGAF. He claims it will be "Very far future. Space combat. Full on sci-fi."
