PS4-exclusive Spider-Man release date is September 7. Developed by Sunset Overdrive and Ratchet and Clank studio Insomniac Games, it has a host of different editions. Pre-ordering Spider-Man will net you the Spidey Suit Pack. This has early unlocks of three in-game suits. At the time of Spider-Man’s release date announcement, all of one was known — the Spider-Punk Suit. Now it appears that the Iron Spider Suit from the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War that’s also seen at the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming will be a part of the Spidey Suit Pack pre-order bonus.
Thanks to an official trailer for the Avengers: Infinity War Iron Spider Suit that released early on the official PlayStation YouTube channel, and was subsequently pulled, we now know this will be a part of Spider-Man for the PS4. Turkish film site Kulturpat managed to repost the trailer on Twitter before Sony took it down from YouTube (via VG247).
Spider-Man will have a frame rate of 30fps on the base PS4 and PS4 Pro. Developer Insomniac Games confirmed this in an interview leading up to the reveal of the release date and special editions of the game. The game will be at a locked 30fps on both consoles. Furthermore, Spider-Man won't feature any micro-transactions with the game's creative director, Brian Intihar stating a vociferous "hell no" when asked. And if you were expecting characters exclusive to the game, this is far from the case. Instead, Insomniac has focussed on those already existing in the Marvel universe. Peter Parker's love interest Mary Jane will also be playable.
Previously, Sony revealed three editions of the game - standard, Digital Deluxe, and the Spider-Man Collector's Edition. Spider-Man standard edition price is Rs. 3,999 ($60) on disc or as a digital download. The Spider-Man Digital Deluxe Edition is $80. No India price is up just yet, though it should be around Rs. 4,499 given Sony's pricing history for India. Meanwhile the Spider-Man Collector's Edition price is $150, which if it makes it to India, should be around Rs. 9,490 just like the God of War Collector's Edition.
