Asphalt 8: Airborne, a popular trending racing game for mobiles and tablets, has now been made free to download for Windows Phone and Windows 8 platforms.
The game, created by Gameloft, takes up a size of 800MB on Windows Phones and around 1GB for Windows 8.
The franchise's eighth edition, Asphalt 8: Airborne, which was released on Microsoft operating systems in November 2013, includes a lot of new features as compared to the seventh edition, Asphalt 7: Heat.
Asphalt 8: Airborne features 47 racing cars to choose from, out of which around 80 percent are new cars with revamped sound effects. The game also includes a brand new game physics engine, and nine different exotic racing locations like Venice, Guiana and the Nevada desert, with various racing shortcut tracks.
Airborne, for hardcore gamers, comes with a career mode, which features a total of 8 seasons and 180 other events. The multiplayer feature of the game can support up to eight opponents.

Disney has also made seven of its gaming titles free for Windows Phone devices, available for a limited time via the Windows Phone Store. These seven games from Disney include Where's My Mickey?, Tor Story: Smash It!, Where's My Perry?, Where's MY Water?, Wreck-It Ralph, Monsters University and Avengers Initiative. Previously, most of these games were priced ranging from $0.99 to $4.99.
While game titles like Wreck-It Ralph, Where's My Water?, Toy Story: Smash It! and Where's My Perry are sized below 50MB, other games like Monster University, Avengers Initiative and Where's My Mickey will take up a size of 82MB, 763MB and 110MB respectively.
