Apex Legends may be getting both free and paid battle pass subscriptions soon, a new leak has claimed. The two tiers of Apex Legends season 1 battle pass subscriptions are rumoured to be called free and diamond. Developer Respawn Entertainment had earlier confirmed that the season 1 battle pass will be available at some point in March. Apex Legends is a free-to-play battle royale game for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, published by Electronic Arts (EA), and has been touted to be the company's rival to Fortnite and PUBG. Battle royale games involve putting up to 100 players on a map and the last person or team standing wins.

This latest leak comes courtesy of @PlayApexLIntel on Twitter, spotted by VG247. Another leak claims that there will be a new recruit mode in Apex Legends, where three teams of up to 20 players each will be up against each other. The twist appears to be that players you revive will join your team and the last team standing wins the match.

These leaks come courtesy of datamining, which means that certain people look at the game's code to spot unreleased information in advance. We've seen this approach being taken for leaks related to PUBG and Fortnite, and it is no surprise that Apex Legends has attracted a group of dataminers too.

Apex Legends has so far been quite successful, having hit the 25-million player mark in its first week. In our Apex Legends review, we said the game is worth playing, even though it lacks variety right now. The addition of new Legends (characters in Apex Legends) and weapons, both of which Respawn has promised will happen this year, could change that.
