Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Download Size, System Requirements, Release Date, and More

Another year, another Call of Duty. And while the latest entry, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare has had one of the most reviled trailers of all time, you shouldn't write it off just yet. Here’s what you need to know about Infinite Warfare.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare release date
The game is out on November 4 on Windows PC, PS4, and Xbox One. It should, like past games, unlock at local midnight for each region if you’re purchasing it digitally.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare download size
If you prefer getting your sci-fi military shooter fix digitally, you’ll need between 44.6GB to 53.6GB on the PS4. As for Modern Warfare Remastered, the download is an additional 37.2GB. On the Xbox One, you’ll need 52.1GB of free space for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, and 45.85GB for Modern Warfare Remastered.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare system requirements
In the run up to its release, developer Infinity Ward shared what you’d need to play the game, if you’re not on a PS4 or Xbox One. Keep in mind that this is the minimum required specification. No recommended hardware configuration has been announced.

Memory: 8GB RAM
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 2GB / AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB

Sound Card: DirectX 11 Compatible
Additional Notes: Disk space requirement may change over time.

Considering that Infinity Ward’s PC ports haven’t been the greatest, don’t expect as many customisation options as Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 - which was one of the better PC ports in the series.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare setting
As the rumours prior to its reveal suggested, this Call of Duty takes place in space. This allows for some interesting changes to the tried and tested formula of running and gunning. You also have the Jackal - a transforming fighter craft that you can customise. Along with this, there’s a central hub - a ship known as the Retribution, from which you can take on main missions and secondary quests. For zero gravity combat, you’re equipped with a grappling hook and a boost pack. The game allows for aerial combat, and it won’t be on-rails. What this means is, you can freely fly the Jackal with no limitations, allowing for a bit of exploration.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare multiplayer
While Infinite Warfare’s single-player campaign, and bonus content like Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered seem solid, the multiplayer is not. We spent two weekends playing the beta and were thoroughly underwhelmed. From generic traversal to cookie-cutter class types and even borrowing the font and menus from Black Ops 3 - it seems to be cobbled together as an afterthought.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare PC, PS4, and Xbox One pre-load time
You can pre-load Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare on the PC via Steam, PS4 via the PlayStation Store and Xbox One via the Xbox Store right now.

Modern Warfare Remastered is exclusive to special editions of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
If you have a PS4, you can pre-order the Legacy or Digital Deluxe Editions of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare from Rs. 5,999 onwards on PSN. Doing so nets you access to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered right away.

It sounds steep, but new Call of Duty game costs Rs. 4,299 by themselves, so you’re essentially paying Rs. 1,700 for the re-master, along with additional content for Infinite Warfare, which isn’t too bad a deal. If you’re not on the PS4, you can grab the Legacy or Deluxe Editions for the PC and Xbox One to get the remaster too, but not before launch - it’s a timed exclusive on the PS4 until November 4.

However Infinity Ward seems to have switched on the servers early for the Xbox One with reports trickling in that it’s playable for any one with a retail copy of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Legacy Edition for the Xbox One.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare India launch
Much like Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, Infinite Warfare will have a midnight launch in India. To our knowledge, Delhi and Mumbai will play host to these. Specialist retailer GamingMonk will be holding one in Delhi at its office in South Extension Part-2 while promising launch day deliveries for those who can’t make it. In Mumbai, Games The Shop will be keeping its Oberoi Mall outlet open for fans to buy the game.

Those attending either midnight launch will get freebies such as official t-shirts, posters and 500XP points for multiplayer.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare price in India
If you’re buying it on disc, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Standard Edition is priced at Rs. 4,499 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, while the PC version is priced at Rs. 3,499.The Legacy Edition is priced at Rs. 6,299 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, while the PC version is priced at Rs. 5,199.

Looking to purchase it digitally? On the PlayStation Store, it will cost you Rs. 3,999 while the Legacy Edition is for Rs. 5,999 and then there's the Digital Deluxe Edition which contains the game, it's Season Pass, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered for Rs. 7,999.

On the Xbox Store, the Standard Edition of the game costs Rs. 4,300. The Digital Deluxe Edition which includes the game, its Season Pass, as well as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will set you back by Rs. 6,690. There's a Digital Legacy Edition for Rs. 5,350 as well, which consists of just Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered.

As for the PC, you can pick the Standard Edition on Steam for Rs. 4,299, the Legacy Edition for Rs. 5,350, and the Digital Deluxe Edition for Rs. 6,690 - same as what you'd pay on the Xbox One.
