About The Swimmers Movie (2022)

The inspirational story of teenage sisters Yusra Mardini (Nathalie Issa) and Sara Mardini (Manal Issa). It showcases how the pair fled the Syrian Civil War in 2015, and helped saved the lives of their fellow refugees. Just a year after their perilous journey, Yusra then competed in swimming events at the 2016 Rio Olympics, as part of the Refugee Olympic team.
