About The Godfather Movie (1972)

First instalment of the Oscar-winning Godfather trilogy, based on Mario Puzo’s hit 1969 novel of the same name.

The Corleones are a fictional mafia family based in New York of the 40's, headed by the authoritarian patriarch Vito Corleone (Marlon Brando). For the Corleones, loyalty towards the family is everything.

The Godfather follows the transfer of power of the clandestine empire from Vito to his youngest reclusive son Michael (Al Pacino).
