About Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior Movie (2020)

Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior is the 2020 Bollywood period drama film that depicts the traces of the life of Tanaji Malusare who was the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's trusted Koli military leader in the Maratha Empire.

Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior is based on the popular famous Battle of Sinhagad (February 4, 1670) in which military leader Subedar Taanaji Malusare (Ajay Devgn) was known as the right-hand of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj (Sharad Kelkar) and his most trusted military leader. Udaybhan (Saif Ali Khan), Aurangzeb’s Rajput general, is sent by the Mughal emperor with a huge army and a massive cannon named ‘Naagin’ to make sure that Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj cannot claim back his fort, Kondhana (now popularly known as Sinhagad). Savitribai (Kajol). Tanhaji’s wife, proves to be his strength when he convinces Shivaji Maharaj to allow him to fight the Battle of Sinhagad against Udaybhan.

Kajol has managed to grope a role in the movie due to her fluency in the Marathi accent.
