About Saand Ki Aankh Movie (2019)

Saand Ki Aankh is a drama film inspired by the real-life story of Chandro and Prakashi Tomar, the octogenarian women from Uttar Pradesh who also happen to be India's oldest sharpshooters. The duo is also popularly known by the tag of "Revolver Dadis".

The story begins with this duo of sisters-in-law in their 60s in traditional familial roles, based in Johri village. Their lives take an unexpected turn when they accidentally discover their exceptional shooting skills.

Even though they hail from strict and conservative families, they do not let patriarchy come in their way. The two decide to take their passion further and begin a series of secret training sessions. With the help of an instructor, the two participate in several shooting competitions.

The film features Bhumi Pednekar and Tapsee Panu in the lead roles. Other actors in supporting roles include The film also marks scriptwriter Tushar Hiranandani's directorial debut.
