About Petite Maman Movie (2022)
Petite Maman is a French fantasy drama about a young girl coping with the death of her grandmother.
Eight-year-old Nelly (Joséphine Sanz) moves to her mother’s childhood home — along with her mom (Nina Meurisse) and dad (Stéphane Varupenne) — after her grandmother (Margo Abascal) passes away. While her mother leaves the same night out of pain, Nelly and her father decide to stay.
Wandering around in the neighbourhood, she makes a new friend in a young girl called Marion (Gabrielle Sanz). As it turns out, Marion has a lot in common with Nelly’s mother — in addition to her name. A connection between the past and future may be in line.
