About Pagglait Movie (2021)

Pagglait is a satirical comedy-drama about widowhood directed and written by Umesh Bisht. The film has been produced by Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor, Achin Jain, and Guneet Monga under the banners of Sikhya Entertainment and Balaji Motion Pictures.

The storyline revolves around Sandhya (Sanya Malhotra), whose husband dies after just five months of their wedding. While Sanya is grappled with the inability to mourn his death, the patriarchal societal norms take a dig at her. Soon, the plot brings forth a startling fact about her deceased husband that kicks start a series of dramatic events.

The movie features Sanya Malhotra, Vikrant Massey, Sheeba Chaddha, Ashutosh Rana, Shruti Sharma, Sayani Gupta and Raghubir Yadav in the lead role. Pagglait has been distributed by Netflix and premiered on the OTT platform on 26th March 2021.
