Facebook has released the first trailer for its upcoming Watch series, Sorry For Your Loss, a half-hour dark comedy starring Elizabeth Olsen (Avengers: Infinity War) – who is also an executive producer on the series – and Kelly Marie Tran (Star Wars: The Last Jedi). The 10-episode first season premieres September 18 on Facebook Watch worldwide.

The new trailer for Sorry For Your Loss sets up the narrative, of a young woman named Leigh Shaw (Olsen) who is trying to recover from the sudden death of her husband and how that affects every other relationship in her life. In the process, she discovers that she didn’t know a lot about her late partner.

Sorry For Your Loss seems to be female-driven, both in front and behind the camera. Kit Steinkellner (Amazon’s Z: The Beginning of Everything) is the creator and executive producer, and Lizzy Weiss (Switched at Birth) is the showrunner and executive producer. The show also stars Janet McTeer, whose most recent role was Jessica Jones’ mother in season 2 of the Netflix-Marvel series.

The Facebook Watch series also counts director James Ponsoldt in its ranks, an indie filmmaker known for The Spectacular Now, Smashed, and The End of the Tour. Ponsoldt has helmed several episodes including the pilot. Jovan Adepo (Overlord) and Mamoudou Athie (Netflix’s The Get Down) are also part of the cast.

Facebook has been building out its original content portfolio over the past year, mostly with docuseries, reality TV, talk shows, and news. Sorry For Your Loss is one of its early steps into high-profile prestige TV, alongside Catherine Zeta-Jones-starrer dark comedy Queen America in the works. In June, it released teen drama Five Points, which counts Kerry Washington as executive producer, and Sacred Lies from Blumhouse Productions, which co-produced Netflix’s Ghoul.
