About Nasir Movie

Nasir (Valavane Koumarane) is a seemingly ordinary sari salesman in the Southern city of Coimbatore, who lives a contented life with his mother Fatima (Yasmin Rahman), wife Taj (Sudha Ranganathan), and mentally-challenged nephew Iqbal, in a closely populated ghetto.

The man runs high on optimism and compassion regardless of what life throws at him — which sometimes includes having to skip meals out of poverty.

A romantic at heart, he loves to delve into poetry and even writes love letters to his wife.

The Tamil drama film chronicles a seemingly ordinary day in the life of this Muslim salesman — with a special focus on the rising communal bigotry and Hindu nationalism.
