Ashok Bansal (Jackie Shroff) is a strict hard-hearted billionaire industrialist who believes that money is the only important thing in life.
In the process of becoming rich, he neglects his family — his younger brother Anil (Shah Rukh Khan) and sister Suneeta (Nivedita Saraf) — and his life becomes devoid of love.
When Munna (Pooja Ruparel), an orphan girl, arrives at Ashok Bansal's residence, she not only tries to thaw the strict Ashok but also manages to become the apple of his eye.
Munna helps Ashok understand the importance of love and family, and also alters his perception of the world.
Inspired by the 1982 film Annie, which is in turn based upon the 1924 comic strip, "Little Orphan Annie" by Harold Gray.
