About Grahan Web Series

Grahan is a crime drama inspired by Satya Vyas’ popular novel Chaurasi based on the Anti-Sikh riots of the 1980s. The film follows two parallel stories set three decades apart.

One is a love story between a Hindu boy named Rishi (Anshuman Pushkar) and a Sikh woman called Manu (Wamiqa Gabbi) — set in Jharkhand’s Bokaro region of the 1980s. As the romance between the two blossoms, the assassination of the then Prime Minister Smt. Indira Gandhi tumbles their world upside down.

In the present day, IPS officer Amrita Singh (Zoya Hussain) is on the verge of quitting after excessive interference from "high political powers” that are getting in the way of her duties. Her Sikh father (Pavan Malhotra) insists on her moving to Canada along with her fiancé Karthik (Nandish Sandhu).

However, when a case of the Anti-Sikh riots is reopened and brings forth a possible connection with her father, Amrita is left in an existential crisis and decides to investigate the case further.
