About Good Omens Season 1 Web Series

Almost 6,000 years have passed since life first began on Earth. Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) and Crowley (David Tennant) — the original guards of the garden of Eden — have been serving as the Ambassadors of heaven and hell since then.

The angel and the fallen-angel-turned-demon seem to be accustomed to their comfortable lives here and are in to do whatever it takes to prevent it from ending.

They decide to switch the anti-christ baby — the biblical character believed to oppose Jesus during the final battle of heaven and hell called Armageddon — during birth.

However, things go awry and fate takes its natural course with the infant now grown into a rather pleasant 11-year-old living a peaceful life in an English village.

Aziraphale and Crowley must now come together to stop him and prevent the impending Armageddon. During the course of their mission, the duo develops a commendable bond.

The comedy show is an adaptation of Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman's 1990 novel of the same name and is stuffed with several Christian themes and figures.

Good Omens Season 1 Review

Twenty-nine years since it was first published, Neil Gaiman and the late Terry Pratchett's biblical fantasy satirical novel Good Omens is getting its first on-screen adaptation at the end of the month: a six-episode miniseries premiering May 31 on Amazon Prime Video globally. As creator and showrunner himself, Gaiman has decided to bring forward the setting to modern-day England, although Good Omens still feels like a show from a different time considering the period elements scattered everywhere. Not to mention the fact that the story — about the end of times i.e. the Apocalypse — spans several millennia and criss-crosses dozens of different periods, starting all the way back at the Garden of Eden in 4000-something BCE.
