About Bhuj: The Pride of India Movie (2021)

During the Indo-Pak War of 1971, the landing strip in Gujarat’s Bhuj region was completely damaged mid-war. However, the then in-charge of Bhuj Air Force Base- Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik decided to involve the civilians in this urgent project. He gathered, motivated and guided around 300 local women from the region to reconstruct the strip in a short span of 72 hours. Bhuj: The Pride of India is a Hindi war drama based on this incidence. The film celebrates patriotism and the historic leadership and valour of Vijay Karnik (Ajay Devgn) during the war.
