About Bhaukaal Season 1 Web Series

IPS Officer Navniet Sekera (Mohit Raina) has just been promoted to the rank of senior superintendent of police (SSP) and is now being transferred to Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar town.

The region is known for its ridiculously high crime rates and is practically ruled over by two gangs — Mohammad Shaukeen (Abhimanyu Singh) in the East, and the Dedha brothers (Siddhant Kapoor, Pradeep Nagar) in the West. Needless to say, the locals are often caught in a crossfire and lead their lives in a constant state of fear, and panic.

While the local police caved in to the gangsters a while ago, Sekera takes it upon himself to re-establish law, order, and peace in the region.

The show is based on real-life IPS officer Navniet Sekera who brought down the crime rates in Muzaffarnagar in the early 2000s. The valiant officer lent his personal bullet-proof jacket for the show to Raina, who essayed the role of a cop for the first time.
