About 1962: The War in the Hills Web Series

1962: The War in the Hills is a military action drama that offers a fictional take on the 1962 Sino-Indian War in the bone-chilling winters of the Himalayan border.

The show kick starts just a few days before the actual war with tension on the Indo-China border brewing up. Major Suraj Singh (Abhay Deol) commands ‘C-company’ — the battalion which will soon be face to face with the enemy. As reported in several historic accounts, it shows how 126 Indian soldiers defended a strategic pass against 3,000 enemies.

The show also touches upon the personal lives of these soldiers, implications of the war drama, prevailing casteism, and the courage needed outside the battlefield. It also brings to the table frequent strategy meetings headed by the then Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru (Arif Zakaria), dispersed through the 10 episodes.
