Fujifilm X100S is the successor to the Fujifilm X100, inheriting the X100's high-performance lens, while adding a higher-definition Hybrid Viewfinder and a new sensor and processor. The newly-developed 16.3 million pixels APS-C X-Trans CMOS II sensor and EXR Processor II increase resolution by approximately 25% and reduce noise by more than 30%.
The highlight of the X100S is the AF in as little as 0.08 seconds. Additionally, the EXR Processor II offers fast response times with a start-up time of only approximately 0.5 seconds, a shooting interval of 0.5 seconds, and a shutter time lag is only 0.01 seconds. Fujifilm X100S is priced at $1299.95.
Fujifilm also introduced the X20, successor to the popular X10. It comes with a newly-developed 12 million pixels 2/3-inch X-Trans CMOS II sensor and EXR Processor II, which increase resolution by approximately 20% and reduce noise by more than 30%. The X20 can AF in just 0.06 seconds, and is as fast as the X100 in the rest of the specs. It will be available for $599.95.
Next up is the $549.95 FinePix HS50EXR with a stunning 42x optical zoom, 1/2-inch EXR CMOS II sensor, and 0.05 seconds AF speed. A cheaper variant, the specs of which aren't clear, called HS35EXR will be available for $399.95.
Next up is the FinePix S8200 series of cameras with FinePix S8200 (40x optical zoom), FinePix S8300 (42x optical zoom), FinePix S8400 (44x optical zoom) and FinePix S8500 (46x optical zoom). They have been priced starting $299.95 for the S8200. All feature 16-megapixel 1/2.3-inch BSI CMOS sensors and offer 10fps burst shooting as well as 1080/60i video.
The SL1000 boasts the highest optical zoom of all the cameras announced, with a 50x optical zoom lens (24mm-1200mm) with fast apertures of f/2.9 to f/6.5 and a 16 million pixels 1/2.3-inch BSI-CMOS sensor. It'll cost $399.95.
Two new compact cameras with 12x optical zoom and 16-megapixel sensor are the FinePix T550 and FinePix T500. Fujifilm also introduced the "all around tough" camera FinePix XP60 with 1/2.3-inch 16 million pixels CMOS sensor.
